The 3.5-acre Ol' Man Island complex -- the best of the resort's six pools -- features water spouts, rope swings, a waterslide, a wooded playground, and an old-fashioned fishing hole. The waterslide at Ol' Man Island. The "Dig Site" water park includes a large, Mayan-temple-themed pool and play area with waterslides, Jacuzzis, a shallow kids' pool, and ball courts. The huge, 11,000-square-foot pool at the Animal Kingdom Lodge has a 67-foot-long waterslide as well as a gradually sloping, zero-entry section (great for young swimmers). The Volcano Pool at the Polynesian Resort also has a gradual, zero-depth entry and features a 40-foot-high volcano and waterfall, plus a 142-foot-long waterslide. The Polynesian's pool also overlooks the Seven Seas Lagoon, a man-made lake with beaches, kayaking, sailing, and ferries shuttling guests to the Magic Kingdom.
