Pros

  • Large rooms, complete with wet bars, mini-fridges, and small flat-screen TVs
  • 1920s property with glamorous, British Colonial feel
  • Two lush courtyards with tinkling fountains
  • Excellent Cafe Boulud from famous chef Daniel Boulud
  • Salon from celebrity stylist Frederic Fekkai
  • Large bathrooms with separate showers and soaking tubs
  • Lovely pool surrounded by palm trees and greenery (but on the smaller side)
  • 24-hour concierge
  • Free Wi-Fi

Cons

  • Getting to the beach requires crossing busy roads
  • Fee for overnight parking

Bottom Line

The historic, 80-room Brazilian Court gives off a glamorous, British Colonial feel -- the courtyards feature tinkling fountains, the lobby is decorated with gorgeous rough wood ceilings and rich colors, and mahogany accents warm up the 80 elegant rooms. The property also features some brand-name cachet -- a restaurant from famous chef Daniel Boulud and a salon from celebrity stylish Frederic Fekkai. Those hoping to be directly on the beach may consider staying at the trendy Omphoy, however, as accessing beaches nearby requires crossing busy roads.
