In the city of Palm Desert, the heart of the Coachella valley
Desert Breezes is located in Palm Desert, a short 20-minute drive from Palm Springs. It's across the street from a world-class tennis center and a short distance from outdoor activities like hot air ballooning and horseback riding. Cultural destinations like the McCallum Theatre are nearby too.
Having recently shed its spring breaker or retiree reputation, Palm Springs has become a classy and clean desert destination for anyone looking for an uncluttered city with resort amenities. With a healthy gay scene and the Coachella valley (and music festival) just over 30 minutes away, the Palm Springs crowd is slowly becoming harder and harder to define. Most who come are there to spend, exercise and relax.
Desert Breezes is a time-share gated community with family homes mixed in. The resort is a bit generic in appearance but has tons of special features: a tech-equipped board room, a lounge with TV and games, a library, well-maintained tennis courts (guests must pay a fee to use them), and a putting green, to name a few. The rooms (studios, or one- or two-bedroom suites) come with well-equipped full kitchens. Some amenities go above and beyond -- like the three pools and 11 Jacuzzis.
