In Bastille, a nightlife and dining hub east of historic Le Marais
The Color Design Hotel is located on a small street adjacent to Saint-Antoine Hospital, in an area just southeast of Bastille. The nightlife and dining scene are the main draws to this neighborhood. There are few attractions nearby, but the subway is just a couple of blocks away, which makes it convenient for exploring attractions in central Paris.
Le Marais, an upscale, historic neighborhood west of Bastille, is one of the must-sees in Paris, and it is just a 15 to 20-minute walk away. Here, beautiful architecture, great boutiques, and good dining options are found, as well as a wide array of antiques stores and sights such as the Home of Victor Hugo, the Place des Vosges, and the National Archives.
The Color Design Hotel is a trendy boutique option in the Bastille district. The 46 basic, contemporary rooms have flat-screen TVs, comfortable beds, and updated bathrooms. Rooms are small, but the hotel makes the most of the space through interesting design, lighting effects, and creative uses of furniture. Hotel perks include a charming breakfast room in the vaulted basement, free Wi-Fi, and free use of the business center. The Metro is only two blocks away, making it easy to explore the rest of Paris. Bastille is a great area for nightlife and dining, but some visitors might find this property inconveniently located for seeing the sights.
