The 38-room Hotel Palm Opera is a well-run boutique with a fantastic central location. Rooms are clean and sophisticated with modern Danish-style minimalist decor, flat-screen TVs, and French balconies that offer excellent Parisian views. The bathrooms are as immaculately clean as the rooms and surprisingly spacious. But amenities are bare-bones (there's little else other than a small on-site dining room for breakfast), which is probably why the contemporary, stylish vibe can still be had at such a good value.
In the 9th arrondissement
The Hotel Palm Opera is located in the 9th arrondissement, a safe, picturesque and well-maintained neighborhood right near the geographical heart of Paris. The 9th is known primarily for housing both the business and theater districts, but you can also find world-famous shopping at the Galeries Lafayette and Printemps department stores. The Metro is also only a short walk away from the hotel, which connects visitors to the entire city.
Paris is one of Europe's most densely populated cities, and is currently one of the world's most important business and cultural metropolises. Known as "The City of Lights" for its growth during the Age of Enlightenment, Paris is home to some of the world's most luxurious fashion (Hermes, Dior, Yves Saint Laurent), iconic museums and structures, as well as major media and business outlets.
