Bottom Line

This small bed and breakfast with four guest rooms is located on the beautiful beach of Punta Secca, a tiny fishing village that's a popular summer destination. The decor of the hotel and rooms is a bit old-fashioned, but this is offset by fantastic views and the property's close proximity to the beach. A free breakfast is served every morning and beach chairs are provided in each room.

B&B La Casa di Montalbano

Scene

Old-fashioned decor with spectacular views

This charming bed and breakfast is a small, quaint beachside retreat. The three-story white house with green doors and shutters is recognizable to many Italians: It was used on the Italian TV show Inspector Montalbano, so tourists will often come by to take pictures or try to come inside. The front lobby, refurbished after our visit, is spacious and comfortable, with dark red tiled floors, white couches, and dark wood furniture, leading to a balcony where guests can sit and take in the beautiful sandy beach. The house has a calm, quiet atmosphere as there aren't many guests. However, the square the property is located on can get loud at night as it’s a popular gathering area.
