Bottom Line

The 24-room Hotel Ivanhoe is a mid-range property with a fantastic central location where many top sights are less than a 15-minute walk away. Simple and clean rooms have minibars, flat-screen TVs with Sky TV, and air-conditioning, and some have coffeemakers. However, all rooms and basic bathrooms are small, and the shower stalls are tiny. Additionally, some rooms have loud street noise. Breakfast is included and receives good reviews, and there's an on-site bar with drinks plus an on-site cafeteria with snacks. A lovely terrace with bistro tables, umbrellas, and rooftop views is a highlight of the property. Free Wi-Fi runs throughout, but there is no business center, and there's a fee for train station or airport transportation.

Hotel Ivanhoe

Scene

A clean and basic mid-range hotel with a beautiful rooftop terrace

A welcoming, helpful atmosphere is felt throughout the mid-range Hotel Ivanhoe, which resides in a building constructed in 1800. The simple and basic lobby has a wood front desk and red tile floors while a small sitting area has white leather chairs and wood wainscoting. The contemporary but plain breakfast room has lovely wood floors and black tables and chairs while the small wood bar area has the same red tile floor as the lobby and black armchairs. A black spiral staircase leads to the wonderful rooftop terrace, which has metal bistro tables and chairs surrounded by potted plants and umbrellas. However, some of the furniture in the common areas is worn and seating is limited throughout. Overall, this is a solid mid-range pick with a warm atmosphere that stands out for its scenic rooftop terrace.
