Bottom Line

Directly facing Hemisfair Park, the Marriott Riverwalk is conveniently located next to its eponymous waterway, with convenient access to downtown attractions. Although it doesn't feel as opulent as its more business-oriented counterpart nearby, the Marriott Rivercenter, there are some nice features the leisure traveler will appreciate, including rooms with balconies and a cool lobby bar.

Oyster Hotel Review

San Antonio Marriott Riverwalk

Scene

This 30-floor, 512-room hotel caters to both leisure and business travelers, with basic amenities that work well for both.

Although not as grand in scale as its sister property, the Marriott Rivercenter, Marriott Riverwalk is still a fairly large facility. The lobby is decorated in sophisticated southwestern decor, with wood accents, tile, warm colors, and a striking light fixture covered in faux candles -- but there's no real seating area, and guests have limited room to lounge. Meeting spaces are on the ground floor. A side door near the bar provides direct access to the pleasant riverside.
