The 288-room Rancho Bernardo Inn features charming Spanish-Colonial-inspired design, a quiet location surrounded by residential homes, and a renowned golf course that is a destination unto itself. Despite the property's intimate vibe, the rooms are very spacious with a cozy and updated look: The bedding is soft and comfortable, the balconies and patios are vast, and the bathrooms are clean. But what's truly impressive are the inn's gorgeous grounds with fountains, gardens and well-maintained landscaping. These comfy, classy accommodations aren't surrounded by much in the way of local attractions, but there's so much to do on-site you may never have (or want) to leave.

The Rancho Bernardo is located in the heart of the area it's named after, flanked by golf courses and private residences. There is plenty of solitude and natural beauty, but there's little to do in terms of nightlife.
Rancho Bernardo is an upscale area, not just by California standards but by national ones as well. Construction is strictly monitored to keep the aesthetic appealing. The area is known for its well-kept gardens and multiple golf courses, and is the home of the Bernardo Winery, the oldest operating winery in Southern California. Besides the manmade beauty, there are miles of hiking trails for taking in the gorgeous Southern California wilderness.
