With 1,300 rooms and a Midtown location within walking distance of numerous sights, restaurants, shops, and businesses, the Milford Plaza attracts all types of travelers, from families to business people to international tourists. Reopened in 2012, the hotel continues to undergo renovations; a lobby, hotel bar, and shops are scheduled to open this summer, and a rooftop bar is planned for further in the future. Rooms, fortunately, are fully renovated and offer a solid value with flat-screen TVs, iPod docks, and bright, city-inspired decor. The temporary lobby, however, is a bit of a mess, with long lines at check-in and check-out. Guests may appreciate the modern fitness center, with numerous cardio and weight-lifting machines, but some feel nickel-and-dimed by the daily Wi-Fi fee, and those traveling with pets must stay elsewhere.
