Altis Suites

Altis Suites Rating: 4.0 Pearls

Altis Suites is located right next to the Altis Hotel, and its 42 suites are a good option for families or travelers on extended stays. These mid-range suites are spacious, but dated, with coral-colored bathrooms and furniture that's showing light wear and tear. However, all suites have kitchenettes -- with stovetops, microwaves, and mini-fridges -- living rooms, and flat-screen TVs. Guests staying in the suites have access to the amenities of the Altis Hotel next door including the health club and restaurant. There is 24-hour room service, and free airport shuttle service can be arranged in advance.
Altis Hotel

Altis Hotel Rating: 4.0 Pearls

With 300 rooms, the Altis Hotel is the largest property in the Altis chain. Elegant rooms are a decent size with plush bedding, marble bathrooms, and TVs embedded in the mirrors. A major renovation was completed in 2011, and rooms feel fresh and contemporary. The hotel's long list of amenities includes a restaurant on the 12th floor with great city views, a cozy lobby bar, and a coffee shop. The Altis also has a health club with an indoor pool, fitness center, and several treatment rooms. While this property has a reputation as a business hotel, it also attracts tourists with its convenient location near numerous attractions. A spacious marble lobby features large art installations and plenty of space to sit. However, some guests have complained that the breakfast buffet is a little disappointing, and there's a pesky fee for Wi-Fi in some rooms.
Altis Prime

Altis Prime Rating: 4.0 Pearls

Altis Prime is an all-suites hotel with a simple, modern look. Opened in 2010, this 78-suite property is ideal for families or couples looking for more space. The streamlined decor features contemporary furniture, wooden accents, and a palette of cool, soothing creams and grays. Rooms have funky light fixtures, attractive throw pillows, and big flat-screen TVs. Extra conveniences include the small kitchenettes and spacious living rooms. The exterior rooms get great natural light, but some street noise, whereas interior rooms overlooking a courtyard are a little darker, but also quieter. One hotel highlight is the rooftop deck complete with Jacuzzi. The location is convenient, within walking distance to numerous sights including Avenida da Liberdade, Lisbon's main artery lined by shops. Though Altis Prime doesn't have many on-site amenities -- no spa, pool, or fitness center -- guests have access to amenities at other Altis properties. There is a cozy cafe and room service is available 24 hours a day.
