There are a few stand-out features, including the central location, spa and fitness center, and the popular Armory Lounge. This waterfront hotel has 95 spacious rooms with chain-like decor and nice bathrooms. There are a few great freebies -- such as Wi-Fi, morning coffee brought to the room, and a shuttle for guests -- but some outdated rooms are starting to show wear and tear.
The Black Point Inn

The Black Point Inn offers stunning waterfront on three sides, in a secluded spot along Western Cove. It's the only resort on Prouts Neck, and many guest enjoy the remote environment (though it's still convenient, as Portland is only a 20-minute drive away). Spacious rooms have classic New England style, and there are two restaurants on-site (so visitors won't have to drive all the way back into town to get a meal). There's a heated pool , but no spa or Jacuzzi, and the property is open only seasonally.

Amenities such as a pool and fitness center are nice but standard for a mid-range chain. Despite renovations in 2008, the hotel itself is a bit dated, right down to the rooms and bedding, but overall it's a good deal for the money. All rooms have balconies, while others also have refrigerators, microwaves, and whirlpool baths. The aforementioned common amenities -- as well as two restaurants, an outdoor patio, and a cozy lobby -- offer an incentive not to stay cooped up in the rooms.

The 153-room, mid-range Atlantic Oceanside Hotel and Event Center is a resort-style hotel composed of five buildings situated on lovely oceanfront grounds. It draws an equal mix of couples and families, and the mostly dated, chain-like, traditional rooms are all equipped with private balconies overlooking Frenchman Bay. The large amount of indoor and outdoor event space makes this a popular choice for conferences and weddings. The lovely grassy grounds include a small private beach and dock from which nature cruises depart daily, as well as an outdoor and indoor pool. There's also a fitness center, but it's small, and the on-site restaurant isn't open every day.
Meadowmere Resort

The 144-room Meadowmere Resort combines the charm of a classic New England inn with some of the added amenities of a ritzier hotel, including a large fitness center, spa treatments, an indoor Roman Bath, and game room. Located a bit south of the central Ogunquit area, the hotel is still within walking distance of shops and restaurants. There’s plenty of fun to be had at the resort itself, between the pools, barbecue pits, game room, and library, and the beach is 15 to 20 minutes away on foot.
