Napa Winery Inn

Napa Winery Inn Rating: 3.5 Pearls

Located right off Route 29, the main road that runs through Napa Valley, the 55-room Napa Winery Inn is a small, upper-middle-range contemporary property. With a friendly staff and reasonable rates, it can make a good base for exploring the larger Napa region. While rooms are unremarkable and a bit dated, and the inn itself is somewhat generic-looking, it's a comfortable spot and should suit couples and families. There's a small, well-maintained outdoor pool and hot tub that's regularly supplied with fresh towels. Unfortunately, the proximity to the highway means there's often traffic noise, especially in the pool area and in the rooms facing the road.
River Terrace Inn

River Terrace Inn Rating: 3.5 Pearls

The three-story River Terrace Inn is a 106-room property located along a tree-lined river path. It's an upper-middle-range hotel with a range of features and services. Rooms are tastefully furnished and comfortably designed to meet the needs of both business and leisure travelers. It's also romantic enough for couples, honeymooners, and those celebrating a special event. A path along the riverfront leads to the Oxbow Public Market in downtown Napa. The inn has an outdoorsy feel yet it's within a minute's walk to dozens of restaurants and tasting rooms. It would appeal to travelers of all ages and particularly those who'd like to experience the Napa area's shops, restaurants, casinos, and vineyards, while also feeling as if they're at a private getaway. Overall, the River Terrace is a terrific value for the price.
Napa River Inn

Napa River Inn Rating: 3.5 Pearls

Located within the Historic Napa Mill, in the heart of downtown, the Napa River Inn is one of the most convenient properties for those who want to be within walking distance to great shopping, excellent dining and entertainment, and wine tasting rooms. There are a bunch of renowned restaurants, as well as a few shops, an acclaimed jazz club and a day spa within the complex. But room quality varies, depending mostly on the building the room is in, and not all have the same high-tech amenities-- while the rooms in the Hatt Building feel high-end and romantic, those in Embarcadero and Plaza buildings feel more mid-range (but are still cozy and have wonderful beds).
