The Southwest Inn at Sedona is a 28-room, mid-range boutique hotel off Highway 89A, Sedona's main drag. Guests are well-situated: within walking distance of shops and restaurants, and a short drive from downtown Sedona and hiking trails. Overall decor is a bit dated, and the pink and green color palette is less than appealing. However there are some lovely wood features, an outdoor dining area with beautiful views of the red rocks, and free Wi-Fi throughout. Guest rooms have flat-screen TVs and kiva-style fireplaces; some have private patios with red rocks views. Breakfast is free and highly rated. Some rooms may have interior and exterior noise, and there is no elevator to get to the upstairs breakfast room. It may also be worth considering the similarly priced Sedona Rouge Hotel and Spa just a minute down the road, which has nicer decor.
