This upscale boutique is centrally located between Bairro Alto and Chiado neighborhoods, within walking distance to attractions. Its 55 rooms have been individually decorated and have wonderful extras depending on their category: Some have clawfoot tubs, others Ralph Lauren-designed wallpaper, Nuno Cera photos, or balconies. But there’s a fee for Wi-Fi and some rooms are tiny. There’s a nice restaurant serving local cuisine, a cocktail bar that's great for a nightcap, and conveniences such as a business center and massages. But the highlight here is the wonderful rooftop terrace, boasting gorgeous city and river views. However, this all comes with a hefty price tag, so it’s worth comparing prices with other upscale properties in the area. Also, don’t expect Ritz-Carlton-style luxury -- it’s the boutique-y details that shine here.
