Liaison Capitol Hill DC–an Affinia hotel

Liaison Capitol Hill DC–an Affinia hotel Rating: 3.5 Pearls

A stylish lobby, an acclaimed regional restaurant, an extensive pillow menu, and a hip rooftop pool and bar (open summers) makes The Liaison hotel (opened October 2008) one of the best hotels in Capitol Hill -- an area that's convenient to the Amtrak station and most major sites, but far from most of D.C.'s dining and nightlife.
Washington Court Hotel

Washington Court Hotel Rating: 3.5 Pearls

The Court boasts a location near Union Station and the Capitol. But if you're visiting D.C. for fun, there's little reason to stay in this part of town, which is sleepy by day, desolate by night. If you're doing business on the Hill, we prefer similarly priced The Liaison.
The Hotel George

The Hotel George Rating: 3.5 Pearls

A decade ago, this stunning, 139-room Kimpton-managed hotel was Capitol Hill's first hip boutique. Today, it sees big competition from The Liaison -- a new hotel, just around the corner. But the George's airy, urbane lobby, swank guest rooms, well-equipped fitness center, and top-notch French restaurant make it a solid choice.
Hyatt Regency Washington On Capitol Hill

Hyatt Regency Washington On Capitol Hill Rating: 3.0 Pearls

This large, 834-room Hyatt comes with a beautiful atrium lobby, a large, heated indoor pool, a superb fitness center with new equipment, a 24-hour FedEx office center, and a convenient location, close to the Amtrak station and the Capitol Building. It would be a fine pick, but its small, outdated guest rooms look worn out.
