Restia Suites

Restia Suites Rating: 5.0 Pearls

Restia Suites is an adults-only five-pearl property with an emphasis on relaxation and luxury. The location on the sandy beach of crystal clear Almyros Bay is a bit removed from the village of Acharavi, but that means no noise -- and there's a free shuttle bringing guests into town throughout the day. That said, most guests don't leave the property until it's time to check out. All of the rooms are luxe suites that look and feel like a private sanctuary, with some having their own pools. Sun loungers are available by the communal swimming pool and on the beach. Wi-Fi and breakfast are free, and there's a poolside bar and restaurant for casual fare. Pietra serves gourmet Greek and international dishes. The on-site spa gets high marks for treatments and has a sauna and steam room.

Aquis Capo Di Corfu

Aquis Capo Di Corfu Rating: 3.5 Pearls

Renovated in 2010, Aquis Capo di Corfu is an upper-middle-range chain resort on a beautiful beach in Agios Petros with 253 modern rooms. The hotel has a French activities team and is popular with French tourists. There is plenty for kids to do including a playground, children's pool with slides, and game room. There is an activities pool with water aerobics and volleyball and a separate quiet pool, both with gorgeous ocean views. Simple rooms are decorated in neutral tones and have mini-fridges, flat-screen TVs, and balconies. An all-inclusive plan is available, which comes in handy as the area is secluded.

Corfu Mare Boutique Hotel

Corfu Mare Boutique Hotel Rating: 3.5 Pearls

The Corfu Mare Boutique Hotel ticks most boxes of what would be expected from a vacation property, although there are no beaches nearby. The well-designed pool area includes a freshwater hot tub, loungers, and a snack bar. The hotel is over two miles from Corfu Town (about a 30-minute walk, with bus service during the day), but there are plenty of tavernas within walking distance. Rooms are colorful and modern with comfortable beds, and some have sea views, though the decor shows a bit of wear. This hotel is adults-only (for guests 18 and over), so those with kids might want to check out the similarly priced Corfu Holiday Palace.

Primasol Louis Ionian Sun

Primasol Louis Ionian Sun Rating: 3.5 Pearls

The 213 rooms at the Primasol Louis Ionian Sun are contained in a long five-story building that's connected to a pebble beach by a pedestrian overpass. The property is situated between the resort towns of Benitses and Moraitika, both of which are accessible by car or bus. Rooms are clean and plain and while the resort is geared towards families with children, regular rooms are a bit small for entire families. There aren't any shops or restaurants immediately surrounding the hotel, but all-inclusive meal plans are available. Wasps are common on the island in late summer because of the grape harvest; guests should be aware that the insects can be aggressive.

Hotel Kaiser Bridge & Restaurant

Hotel Kaiser Bridge & Restaurant Rating: 3.0 Pearls

The 45-room Hotel Kaiser Bridge and Restaurant is a mid-range hotel built across the road from the Ionian Sea. There's a small private, rocky beach with free sun chairs and umbrellas plus crystal clear water. Rooms are clean and simply decorated; some have balconies with excellent sea views. Breakfast is included with the price of the room and homestyle Greek cooking shines through with a special menu of the day for lunch and dinner. Alekos Taverna is popular with locals and visitors and offers excellent sea views. If you want a better beach and a pool, compare rates at Golden Sands Hotel, though it's much farther from Corfu and usually more expensive.

Hotel Rosa Bella Corfu Suite Hotel & Spa

Hotel Rosa Bella Corfu Suite Hotel & Spa Rating: 3.0 Pearls

Hotel Rosa Bella Corfu Suites Hotel and Spa is a mid-range property with 78 spacious suites overlooking Ermones Beach -- but there isn't direct access to the water from the hotel itself. A large outdoor swimming pool includes an adjacent kiddy pool and pool bar for snacks and cocktails. All-inclusive meal packages can be purchased at the Mediterranean-style restaurant. In 2014, the spa was renovated and updated to include an indoor swimming pool and Turkish hammam -- treatments and access to the facilities cost extra. Most rooms have views of the Ionian Sea, but could use a decor and technology update (Wi-Fi costs extra and there are tiny tube TVs).

Aquis Mon Repos Palace

Aquis Mon Repos Palace Rating: 3.0 Pearls

Located on the Corfu Promenade, Aquis Mon Repos Palace is a classic mid-range chain hotel with 100 elegant rooms. There is a small outdoor pool with sunning area, live entertainment, and a restaurant with inviting sidewalk seating. The location is convenient, two minutes by foot from a small, rocky beach and the windmill (and near many restaurants and bars). The similarly priced Bella Venezia Hotel is another option in Corfu Town without a pool or full restaurant, but with a beautiful dining courtyard for enjoying the well-reviewed breakfast.

Hotel Magna Graecia

Hotel Magna Graecia Rating: 3.0 Pearls

The 129-room Hotel Magna Graecia is a three-pearl hotel popular with tourists and families who want organized entertainment and all-inclusive meal packages. It's not recommended for those looking for a quiet stay as loud music by the pool, group sports, and free drinks can lead to a party vibe. Rooms are clean and decorated with soft earth colors and big flat-screen TVs mounted to the wall. However, there are regular reports of overbooking rooms and some guests find themselves temporarily rerouted to apartments up the hill. Two swimming pools and worn tennis courts are just some of the available recreational facilities. If fast beach access is what you're looking for, check rates at nearby Elea Beach Hotel.

Corfu Holiday Palace

Corfu Holiday Palace Rating: 3.0 Pearls

Corfu Holiday Palace is an enormous mid-range property with all the bells and whistles that should be found at a hotel this size, though some of the rooms and public spaces could use a refresh. Accommodations vary from standard rooms to bungalows with a private pool. Views are either of the Ionian Sea and Mouse Island or the back facing lagoon which also includes a very active and noisy airport. The private sandy beach and restaurant are accessible via a cable car style lift. Breakfast and Wi-Fi are free. A sushi bar and dinner buffet are good choices for meals. The outdoor swimming pool is huge but it still gets crowded and guests reserve chairs in the early morning. Nightly entertainment is fun and the center of Corfu is close enough to access via local bus or taxi for those who want to explore.

Aquis Park Hotel

Aquis Park Hotel Rating: 3.0 Pearls

There's plenty for children to do at the Park Hotel, an mid-range all-inclusive hotel with 195 rooms. There’s an outdoor play area suitable for toddlers and an airplane-themed indoor kids' club, as well as an outdoor and indoor game room. The beach is a 15-minute walk away. The hotel has a beautiful pool area surrounded by palm trees, but it can get crowded so a garden lawn turns into an overflow sunning area. The outdoor snack bar serves cocktails and self-serve snacks, but the food receives mixed reviews. Guests willing to spend more may want to consider the Louis Corcyra Beach Hotel, a family-friendly hotel with a series of pools and direct beach access.
