Eurostars Madrid Tower

Eurostars Madrid Tower Rating: 5.0 Pearls

The Eurostars Madrid Tower has sophisticated design, an upscale 30th-floor restaurant, panoramic views, and a high-end spa. Its contemporary 473 rooms feature all the amenities expected of a five-pearl property -- pillow menus, brand-name minibar items, soundproofing, and LCD TVs -- plus a few extras, including radiant heating in the bathrooms, floor-to-ceiling windows, and free Wi-Fi. Attentive service and reasonable rates don’t hurt either. But location in the city’s financial district, far from the main sights, is more convenient for business travelers than tourists.
Hotel Via Castellana

Hotel Via Castellana Rating: 3.5 Pearls

The 228-room Hotel Via Castellana is a standard upper-middle-range business hotel. Rooms are clean and surprisingly quiet given the location across the street from a major transportation hub -- but they have generic decor and feel a tad less luxurious than advertised. However, all rooms feature solid amenities, including flat-screen TVs, minibars, and large windows, most of which offer views of iconic Kio Towers. Family Rooms, which can accommodate up to four guests, appeal to leisure travelers, too. But the location in the heart of the financial district of Plaza de Castilla is a little out of the way for those who want to see the sights, and the hotel lacks distinctive charm.
