Masseria Bagnara Resort & Spa

Masseria Bagnara Resort & Spa Rating: 5.0 Pearls

The Masseria Bagnara Resort & Spa is a gorgeous and modern wellness resort in a luxurious setting. Located near the Ionian Coast of Salento, the five-pearl resort is situated in a renovated farm house that incorporates environmentally friendly refurbishments with elements of the original structure. The 15 guest rooms are decked out with chic decor, elegant bathrooms, and most have private terraces. Guests can indulge in one of the various treatments at the tranquil spa, or go for a swim in the stunning indoor pool or in the large outdoor pool. The resort has a refined restaurant with indoor and outdoor seating, as well as a large lobby bar and lounge, but there's not much to do in the immediate vicinity, so those who want to explore should plan on renting a car.
Borgo Egnazia

Borgo Egnazia Rating: 5.0 Pearls

The 183-room luxury Borgo Egnezia is an uber-stylish complex built like a traditional Apulian village (with a contemporary twist). Luxury is the name of the game, and the hotel is the type of place where a celebrity guest once flew in elephants for a wedding. Jessica Biel and Justin Timberlake also got married here. The hotel has a private beach, as well as a charming, rustic piazza and a chapel for destination weddings. Everything involved in construction of the hotel was made in Italy, and the three restaurants serve locally sourced cuisine. The buttery cream and beige decor, stone bathrooms, and plush canopy beds make the rooms feel like they belong in a modern day castle. Of course, the most luxe of the luxe comes at a price, and extra fees for food and service can really add up, especially for families. La Sommità Relais is a more affordable luxury property 13 miles away, though it is not quite as impressive as the Borgo Egnezia.
Risorgimento Resort

Risorgimento Resort Rating: 4.5 Pearls

Restored in 2007, the Risorgimento Resort is a 47-room luxury hotel in the historic center of Lecce near monuments, churches, and lots of dining options. The hotel has private parking, an inviting rooftop terrace and bar with views of the city, a gourmet restaurant, and a beautiful, exposed-stone wine cellar. Rooms are modern and stylish with chic bathrooms; some have terraces. There is a small spa, quality free breakfast, and reading room, but only wired Internet is free.
8piuhotel

8piuhotel Rating: 4.0 Pearls

The 8piuhotel is fine example of a sleek, contemporary hotel that balances sophisticated technology and uber-modern design with a welcoming atmosphere and quirky touches. While the location doesn't offer direct access to Lecce's city center, parking is ample and free and bikes are available if the 20-minute walk into town is too much. Rooms are high-tech, with large TVs, mood lighting, and digital climate control. The bathrooms have rain showers and chromotherapy lighting. If the setting on a busy road on the outskirts of town doesn't put you off, this hotel offers great value, especially considering its abundance of state-of-the-art amenities and innovative contemporary design.
Hotel Thalas Club

Hotel Thalas Club Rating: 4.0 Pearls

A family-centric property with a fun, lively atmosphere, Hotel Thalas Club offers 161 rooms dispersed in different buildings. Each unit has its own balcony or patio with simple interior decor. Located in a residential area of the small beachside town of Torre Dell'Orso, the hotel offers free shuttle service to the gorgeous beaches nearby. There are plenty of activities to keep both adults and children happy throughout their stay, including swimming pools, an outdoor theater, a soccer field, and a tennis court. While there’s a lot to do, guests can also find places to unwind and relax, like at the lagoon-style pool and the spa.
Hotel Monte Sarago

Hotel Monte Sarago Rating: 4.0 Pearls

The 40-room, upscale boutique Hotel Monte Sarago is ideally located for tourists, business travelers, and those who want to relax above the urban fray. The Ostuni hotel is five minutes' walk from the heart of the historic "White City," and the beaches are 10 minutes' drive away. The small, but beautiful pool is nestled along the cliffside above the main building, with spectacular panoramic views. Rooms are modern, pristine, and lovely, with platform beds and handsome gray marble bathrooms that ooze luxury. The Monte Sarago looks and feels modern throughout. Visitors who want more rustic digs should also check out the Hotel Rione Antico La Terra in the heart of the historic district.
Ostuni Rosa Marina Resort

Ostuni Rosa Marina Resort Rating: 4.0 Pearls

The 240-room luxury Ostuni Rosa Marina Resort offers an abundance of activities for guests of all ages. The grounds are huge and beautifully landscaped, with three big pools, including one for kids and one dedicated to relaxation. Marina di Ostuni beach is reached via shuttle train or on foot, down a gorgeous stone path. Rooms are big and airy with cool stone floors, beachy linens, white wood furniture, and furnished balconies with views of spectacular gardens. The hotel is especially popular among families with kids, and it does get crowded in the summer months. Couples looking for a quiet getaway may want to consider the Hotel Monte Sarago, Hotel La Terra, and La Sommita Relais & SPA, which all offer more intimate surroundings at comparable prices.
Masseria Li Foggi

Masseria Li Foggi Rating: 4.0 Pearls

The 13-room Masseria Li Foggi is an upscale boutique abundant in charm just outside the Punta Pizzo-Island of St. Andrew Natural Reserve. A small, outdoor pool is nestled in the lawn and surrounded by loungers. There are bikes to borrow and a quality daily breakfast, with pastries and regional treats, is served outdoors. Rooms in this peaceful farmhouse are pretty, simple, and bright with rustic furnishings. Some rooms have kitchenettes and huge private terraces. The beach is a quick one-mile away, but the Wi-Fi is spotty and there's no restaurant for lunch or dinner on-site.
Le Dune Suite Hotel

Le Dune Suite Hotel Rating: 4.0 Pearls

Le Dune Suite Hotel is a 48-room private beach resort that expresses luxury with every detail, from the understated color palate to chic outdoor lounge areas. The hotel is a great choice for adults in need of pampering, with its elegant spa and al fresco seating overlooking the sea. But it's also family-friendly, with plenty of activities for kids, including pizza-making lessons. Le Dune is glamorous but breezy, with relaxation the priority. Travelers wanting to be a bit closer to Porto Cesaro, a nice spot for strolling by the water, could try the similarly priced Quihotel, which lacks a private beach.
