Gran Melia Colon

Gran Melia Colon Rating: 5.0 Pearls

The luxurious, 189-room Gran Meliá Colón is a Seville landmark, steeped in history and tradition but also emphasizing modernity and quality. Meliá Colón embraces the culture of Seville's painters and bullfighters in its architecture and decor. For example, elegant rooms have doors painted to look like framed masterpieces by some of Seville's famous artists. The hotel feels like an integral part of the cultural fabric of the city, and the three excellent restaurants are popular meeting spots for both tourists and locals.
AlmaSevilla - Hotel Palacio de Villapanes

AlmaSevilla - Hotel Palacio de Villapanes Rating: 5.0 Pearls

Built in the early 18th century in the traditional Sevilian baroque style, this gorgeous palace now houses a luxury boutique. Its 50 rooms are all elegant and stylish, with a few original architectural details -- including wall moldings and, in some, intricate coffered ceilings -- and high-end amenities, such as flat-screen TVs, free minibar items, and free Wi-Fi. The small spa, lovely courtyards, intimate restaurant, and rooftop plunge pool offering panoramic city views are all great perks. The location, in a quiet area of the historic center, is ideal for those looking to see Seville’s main attractions.
EME Catedral Hotel

EME Catedral Hotel Rating: 4.5 Pearls

This small, hip boutique is ideally located right next door to the Seville Cathedral, in the heart of the historic center. With stylish, modern rooms featuring upscale amenities; a rooftop terrace complete with a hopping bar and a pool with striking views; and a relaxing spa offering a wide array of treatments, EME Catedral Hotel sets the bar for Seville cool. Just note that some guests complain of dim room lighting, and of noise coming from the rooftop bar.
Melia Sevilla

Melia Sevilla Rating: 4.0 Pearls

The 365-room Melia Sevilla is an upscale chain hotel catering to business travelers outside the city center of Seville. Located in a quiet part of the city across from the Plaza España, this modern, fresh property has many conveniences including a spa, hair salon, fitness center, seasonal outdoor pool, and indoor pool. Even more conveniences are available to VIP guests staying on The Level, an exclusive floor with its own reception and private lounge. There is a huge breakfast buffet (for a fee), a lounge, and a restaurant. Rooms are stylish with stocked minibars and sleek bathrooms, but there is a fee for parking. A more affordable option with less amenities is the Monte Carmelo Hotel.
Hesperia Sevilla

Hesperia Sevilla Rating: 4.0 Pearls

This upscale chain hotel is within a 15-minute walk of both the city’s main train station and the outskirts of the historic center. It has a white tablecloth restaurant and a funky, modern tapas lounge. While there’s no pool, guests have use of a privately managed gym and spa on the premises for an additional fee. Rooms are modern and have wood floors, though some beds are made up of two beds pushed together. It's relatively affordable for an upscale property, due to the fact that it's not in the heart of the action.
Hotel Becquer

Hotel Becquer Rating: 4.0 Pearls

Located in the historic center of Seville, the 134-room Hotel Becquer has a rooftop terrace overlooking the Seville Cathedral and iconic Giralda bell tower. Originally a 19th century palace home, the hotel today has been modernized and refurbished in a classically elegant style. Rooms are simple and clean, if a bit small, with electric kettles and stocked minibars. There is a rooftop pool and popular tapas bar on-site, but some guests find the location in Seville's narrow streets difficult to find.
Las Casas de la Juderia

Las Casas de la Juderia Rating: 4.0 Pearls

The 178-room Las Casas de la Juderia is made up of 27 different houses and mansions linked together by a series of winding alleyways and underground tunnels, a small city within the city. Completely unique in design, entering this hotel is like stepping back in time to 15th-century Seville and caters to tourists with cultural and historic interests.
Corral del Rey

Corral del Rey Rating: 4.0 Pearls

The 12-room luxury boutique Corral del Rey is located in two houses several yards apart. The buildings were built as a casa palacio in the 17th century, and have been carefully restored to preserve their architectural history but updated and refurbished to meet the demands of the modern traveler. Located in the center of Seville's historic district, along a winding cobblestone street, the Corral del Rey is packed with romantic atmosphere.
Hotel Casa 1800

Hotel Casa 1800 Rating: 4.0 Pearls

The three-story, 24-room Hotel Casa 1800 was originally a mansion built in 1864. The owners have taken care in its conversion to retain the original historic character. Nonetheless, Casa 1800 still has the modern conveniences and cutting edge technology today's travelers expect in a boutique property, with a prime location in the city center near a world-famous cathedral.
Silken Al-Andalus Palace Hotel

Silken Al-Andalus Palace Hotel Rating: 3.5 Pearls

Part of the Spanish-Belgian Silken chain, the 623-room Silken Al-Andalus Palace Hotel is a huge hotel located two miles outside the Seville City Center. Public transportation is necessary to reach the city's major points of interest. There is a big outdoor pool with nice landscaping and plenty of lounge space, along with a small on-site gym. Rooms vary in design -- some on the designer floor were beautifully decorated by Seville designers Victorio & Lucchino -- while others are simple and somewhat generic. Some guests complain about the isolated location and lack of personal service.
