O'Callaghan Davenport

O'Callaghan Davenport Rating: 4.0 Pearls

The O'Callaghan Davenport is a solid mid-range hotel in a central location near Merrion Square. The spacious 102 rooms and 12 suites are clean and quiet with classic decor, comfortable beds, and updated amenities such as flat-screen TVs and electronic safes. The President's Bar is a popular spot for after work drinks and Lanyon's Restaurant serves a hearty daily breakfast. Hotel amenities include a business center and small fitness room, but there is a pesky fee for Wi-Fi. This traditional, elegant hotel is starting to show some signs of wear and tear, but it has a convenient location within walking distance of many sights, such as Trinity College and Grafton Street.
Trinity City Hotel

Trinity City Hotel Rating: 4.0 Pearls

Trinity City Hotel is a unique choice in Dublin's city center. This 198-room hotel is decorated in Middle Eastern style with rich fabrics, colors, and eclectic furnishings. The style is especially evident in the restaurant, Cafe Cairo, which features interesting lighting, carpets, and artwork. Bright colors make their way into the rooms as well, all of which offer big flat-screen TVs, comfortable beds, and fun design touches. Bathrooms range from small, to spacious enough for a Jacuzzi tub, depending on the room. Hotel features include a small fitness center, an interior courtyard off the restaurant, and a fun bar. While the location near Trinity College is excellent, the one main complaint about this hotel is close proximity to a noisy fire station.
Maldron Hotel Cardiff Lane

Maldron Hotel Cardiff Lane Rating: 3.5 Pearls

The 304-room Maldron Hotel Cardiff Lane is located near the Grand Canal Theatre, just south of the River Liffey. While the location isn't exactly in the city center, it is a short walk away from central Trinity College and Temple Bar. Spacious, contemporary rooms offer good value, especially considering the free Wi-Fi, and include electric kettles and safes; some have small balconies. The furniture might be a bit generic, but the hotel has impressive features, including the huge indoor lap pool and massive fitness center. There's also a decent on-site restaurant and bar serving a nice daily breakfast buffet. While there's plenty to do around the hotel, some of the most popular sights are a good walk away.
O'Callaghan Alexander

O'Callaghan Alexander Rating: 3.0 Pearls

The 98-room O'Callaghan Alexander Hotel has a central location on a quiet corner across the street from Merrion Square. Spacious rooms are clean and feature flat-screen TVs, very comfortable beds, and cashmere blankets. However, the decor is on the generic side, bathrooms are basic, and there's a fee for Wi-Fi. Hotel amenities include a casual bar, pleasant restaurant, and tiny fitness center with four machines and an old tube TV. The location is in the heart of the action, with Merrion Square, Trinity College, and Grafton Street all within easy walking distance.
