Fiesta Americana Grand Los Cabos Golf & Spa Resort

Fiesta Americana Grand Los Cabos Golf & Spa Resort Rating: 4.5 Pearls

The peaceful location of the Fiesta Americana is away from the main party atmosphere of Cabo San Lucas. All 249 rooms and suites are spacious, with relaxing, neutral tones and interesting touches such as Mexican art and sculpture accents. Luxurious features include large bathrooms with soaking tubs and walk-in showers. The gorgeous infinity pool is a real perk here, along with the above average, plush lounge chairs and cabanas, both at the pool and on the beach. The location is excellent for access to Cabo's two championship golf courses, and kids can keep entertained with a kids' club room packed with toys, art supplies, games, and computers. Suite upgrades can make a trip to Fiesta Americana uber luxurious -- extra amenities include outdoor showers and private outdoor Jacuzzis.

Pueblo Bonito Pacifica Resort & Spa

Pueblo Bonito Pacifica Resort & Spa Rating: 4.5 Pearls

The all-inclusive, adults-only Pueblo Bonitio Pacifica Resort is a tranquil, upscale resort on a gorgeous beach. It feels removed and secluded from the Cabo nightlife, though it's only about a 10-minute drive away. Amenities are plentiful; there are two beautiful pools, tennis courts, five restaurants (including sushi and Italian options), five bars (no well liquor here; they serve Absolut, Bacardi, and Cuervo 1800, along with over 50 brands of liquor), a large fitness center, and a full-service spa with a sexy Jacuzzi and a meditation labyrinth. All 154 rooms feature understated, contemporary beach decor with dark woods, Mexican accents such as local artwork and floor mosaics, and soft yellow and white bedding. All rooms also have ocean-view balconies and free Wi-Fi, but outdated tube TVs -- surprising for a resort of this caliber. Still, couples looking for a quiet, romantic getaway should be pleased with this option.

Grand Solmar Land's End Resort & Spa

Grand Solmar Land's End Resort & Spa Rating: 4.5 Pearls

Grand Solmar Land's End Resort & Spa is set against the ethereal background of the Pacific Ocean and a massive natural rock formation that hugs the resort. The hotel lobby mirrors this formation with modern stone and dark wood flooring and high, beamed ceilings. The resort features a spa at Land's End Terrace (with beachside massage cabanas) that overlooks the ocean. Each suite is equipped with a full kitchen with stainless steel appliances, and the bathrooms are simple and sleek with Spanish tiling. Outside, the slender infinity pool with Jacuzzi and swim-up bar commands views of the ocean. This beautiful all-inclusive resort, located near the iconic El Arco, is inviting to all types of travelers, from families to couples.

Riu Palace Cabo San Lucas - All Inclusive

Riu Palace Cabo San Lucas - All Inclusive Rating: 4.0 Pearls

The Riu Palace, located right outside of party-hearty Cabo San Lucas, is packed with entertainment. This colossal 642-room all-inclusive resort offers meals at six restaurants, activities, and nightly entertainment -- such as a Michael Jackson impersonator -- all included in the price. Spacious rooms have palatial bathrooms and great views, but furniture could use an update and there are no duvets -- only old comforters. Perks include two large pools, one designated for relaxation and the other for activities, along with a swim-up bar and decent-sized fitness room. While the resort is scenic with its manicured grounds, there are complaints about pool crowds and lounge chairs taken early. Water is also too rough for swimming and taxis are required to reach central Cabo San Lucas.

Riu Santa Fe All Inclusive

Riu Santa Fe All Inclusive Rating: 3.5 Pearls

Located just outside of downtown Cabo San Lucas, the Riu Santa Fe is a classic Cabo all-inclusive megaresort. This enormous hotel has 902 simple rooms with huge bathrooms. The all-inclusive program here includes drinks -- although don't expect a variety of liquors -- meals, and entertainment. While some guests complain about mediocre food, this resort does offer a gigantic pool with plenty of space to sunbathe. Extra hotel perks include a fitness center, spa, and nightly entertainment, but lounge chairs can fill up early and the water is too dangerous for swimming.

Marina Fiesta Resort & Spa

Marina Fiesta Resort & Spa Rating: 3.5 Pearls

The 155 suites at the all-inclusive Marina Fiesta Resort & Spa are clean and spacious with a subtle nautical theme. The beds and furniture are comfortable (though the furniture in some rooms feels worn and dated), the showers large, and the bathrooms clean. But the hotel's location near downtown Cabo San Lucas may be its greatest draw: Staying here puts you a few minutes' walk away from popular Medano Beach, shopping at the Puerto Paraiso mall, myriad dining options, and vibrant nightlife.

Melia Cabo Real All-Inclusive Beach & Golf Resort

Melia Cabo Real All-Inclusive Beach & Golf Resort Rating: 3.5 Pearls

Melia Cabo is a sprawling, 305-room beachfront all-inclusive in between the cities of Cabo San Lucas and San Jose del Cabo. Common areas feature chic modern decor touches, like bright red lounge chairs in the lobby and flowy fabrics draped across ceilings and outdoor patios. Rooms are spacious, clean, and come with an airy, fresh style (though some feature old tube TVs). The grounds are lovely and feature plenty of lounge seating and cabanas, assorted ping-pong tables, a sprawling pool, and even a swim-able (though small) beach area (unusual around San Jose del Cabo, where waters are rough). The pool's swim-up bar is a perk, but has received some complaints of poor upkeep, and the "separate" kiddy pool is really just separated by some in-water pylons -- though an impeccable 10-person Jacuzzi is perched on a top level overlooking the ocean. Being that it's not within walking distance from Cabo San Lucas or San Jose del Cabo much dining, drinking, and entertainment will be done on-site; only two restaurants are available, which may feel a bit limiting on a long vacation.

Solmar Resort All-Inclusive

Solmar Resort All-Inclusive Rating: 3.0 Pearls

This mid-range all-inclusive property is on the smaller side, so guests get all of the perks of an all-inclusive in a more intimate environment. It also means guests don't get multiple food choices -- there is just one restaurant at the hotel (though guests are entitled to eat free at a few nearby restaurants as well). The real highlight is the hotel's beachfront location, within walking distance of the marina and downtown. All rooms are suites, with kitchenettes, but decor-wise they are a bit out-of-date. The bathrooms show some wear and tear, and the bedrooms feature old, small tube TVs. Although the pool has a swim-up bar, the Solmar mainly attracts families to its (crowded) beach and nightly entertainment offerings.
