What It's Like

This edgy, trendy little district -- one of Seattle's fastest growing neighborhoods -- starts at Pike Place Market and extends north to Broad Street. Although Belltown does not feature any main tourist attractions, visitors can enjoy its multitude of restaurants, bars, and clubs to get a taste of nightlife done the Seattleite way.

Some complain about Belltown's noise factor, so it may not be the best part of the city for a family trip; but if you're looking to mingle, wine, and dine, it's a solid option.

Where To Stay

For closest proximity to the tourist sites, stay in the southern part of the neighborhood -- preferably near the water, where you'll have great views and will be within easy walking distance of Pike Place Market. If you'd prefer to be closer to family-friendly attractions like the Space Needle and Seattle Children's Theater, stay to the northwest of the neighborhood.
