It’s hard to go wrong with this top luxury hotel that has, arguably, some of the best views in the city, not to mention a restaurant with an acclaimed Seattle chef and 147 spacious, classically comfortable rooms. But the cherry on top? A stunning rooftop infinity pool overlooking the water and the mountains. This mega-sized hotel consists of two towers -- “Union Street” and “Pike Street” -- and sits directly adjacent to the Washington State Convention Center. The hotel is able to keep guests happy with an unbeatable location and impressive lap pool. The historic Olympic Hotel, part of the luxury Fairmont chain since 2003, is a Seattle institution. It has a grand lobby with architecture that evokes the 1920s (the hotel opened in 1924), an impressive clientele list that includes JFK, and one of the oldest oyster bars in the city. In addition, the hotel has a great indoor lap pool and whirlpool. You almost can’t go wrong with the Hyatt at Olive 8, which is known for its exceptionally high customer ratings, environmentally conscious design, and easy, walk-to-everything location. The massive pool even has great city views. If eastside convenience is what you’re looking for, the Marriott Courtyard Bellevue is a solid choice. Standard amenities include an on-site Starbucks and great indoor pool. This stylish boutique is a happy surprise located in an area of downtown that rarely sees a charming, full-service hotel. Everywhere you turn, something is free -- a nice change from the usual nickel-and-dime-you hotels -- with highlights that include a lovely indoor pool. Luxurious it isn’t, but the Courtyard Seattle Downtown/Pioneer Square gets big points for its lively, well-chosen locale and no-nickel-and-diming attitude. On-site perks include a large indoor pool. There are very few Seattle hotels this close to the water, so if you want to enjoy everything this scenic city has to offer -- with an emphasis on harbor attractions and cruise access – the Marriott is a great pick. After exploring the city, guests can come back to the hotel to enjoy the indoor/outdoor pool (you can swim through hanging strips of plastic to get from the indoor half to the outdoor half).
