The 79-room mid-range hotel is part of the boutique chain Joie de Vivre. Rooms don't have as much character as those of other properties in the brand, and decor is basic, with shades of red and a corporate feel. All are contemporary, though, and feature large flat-screen TVs, coffeemakers, and free Wi-Fi. Hotel features include a tasty restaurant, free underground parking, a fitness center, and a standout outdoor pool, with upscale cabanas and a Jacuzzi. Though there is not much within walking distance of the hotel, it is conveniently located just off of Highway 280, so guests can easily travel to spots such as Santana Row (a cluster of restaurants and shops), Downtown San Jose, and the airport. Overall, the Moorpark offers solid value.

On Moorpark Avenue, the Moorpark Hotel is located just off of the highway in San Jose.
The third largest city in California, San Jose is often referred to as the capital of Silicon Valley. But though it may be large, the downtown area is compact and easy to get around. Sure, there may be a number of tech businesses in the city, but downtown is also home to the Tech Museum and the San Jose Museum of Art, as well as several nice restaurants and shops.
