In a charming little town in Sonoma wine country
Healdsburg is one of the best-known little towns in Sonoma County, which lures tourists with its hundreds of wineries, excellent cuisine and picturesque rolling hills. Eating, drinking and shopping are the main activities here, so come prepared to splurge on both calories and cash.
It's hard to find fault with this 55-room boutique in charming Healdsburg, which delivers luxurious rooms (most with big soaking tubs), a convenient location within walking distance of tasting rooms (no designated driver required), and ample free perks that help guests feel pampered (free valet parking, free breakfast, free minibar items in the rooms). But some may find the modern design -- exposed concrete inside, and a plain, boxy exterior -- a little cold. At least the contrasting rugs, wood, and -- on the outside -- climbing ivy, help soften the effect.
