In the nightlife district of Kings Cross
Diamant Hotel is in King's Cross, to the east of the Central Business District. Once a bohemian haven, King's Cross has become a trendy neighborhood due to lots of real estate development and the arrival of many upscale bars. Despite these changes, King's Cross is still considered Sydney's red light district, and has all the nightlife, thrills, and detractors that go along with that.
Sydney is Australia's most populous city and its cultural hub. Festivals, theater, fashion, and a famous opera house can all be found here, along with the retail and restaurants that naturally accompany them. The weather is excellent, with an average of 300 sunny days a year, and beaches are within a short drive from the city center.
Situated outside Sydney's Central Business District near Rushcutters Bay Park, Diamant Hotel -- part of the 8Hotels collection -- is an upscale, 80-room boutique. The style throughout is trendy and contemporary; the lobby has plush, electric blue seating, and rooms have clean-lined, retro-modern furniture, dramatic headboards, and crisp white bedding. Convenient room amenities include iPod docks, flat-screen TVs, free Wi-Fi, and stocked minibars. Some suites -- such as the courtyard suite -- feature private terraces and great views of the city. Guests have free access to the big and bright Anytime Fitness gym, but there is no on-site restaurant or pool.
