The Fairmont has a very convenient location for business travelers, as it is located across the street from the convention center and blocks to the heart of the financial district. However, those in town for leisure will probably find the downtown setting, blocks from public transport and within walking distance to major attractions, central and easily accessible. There’s a wide array of restaurants and bars in the immediate area, and the Bentall Centre Mall is just three blocks from the hotel.
Downtown Vancouver is the financial and commercial hub of the city. It's bustling during the weekdays, when tourists and locals fill the streets -- but empties out at night and on the weekends. However, Robson Square is always alive, featuring restaurants, shops, bars, and the Vancouver Art Gallery.
