While there is a mandatory valet parking fee and rates are pricey, the hotel does offer a great children's program and an 18-hole golf course on-site.

From the outside the Pitcher Inn might appear like a typical New England B&B, but once inside, the quality and character of this property is revealed. All 11 rooms and suites are individually decorated according to a different theme -- such as mountain, ski, or trout -- and feature knickknacks and antiques that are unique to Vermont. Rooms have luxe extras: All have Jacuzzi tubs and radiant floor heating, and some have wood-burning fireplaces, balconies, or huge steam showers. Rooms also offer free Wi-Fi and Nespresso machines. While the inn offers a delicious restaurant and acclaimed wine list, prices are quite high for the location.

With its warm, urban-chic vibe, Amee Farm isn't a typical B&B. Rooms look straight out of an interior design magazine, with a near-perfect combination of rustic, warm, quaint, and stylish touches. Wide-planked hardwood floors, comfortable beds with white, soft linens, and interesting antiques are found in all the rooms. Bathrooms have granite showers with rain showerheads and updated fixtures (though not all rooms have private bathrooms).
