Premier Inn Abu Dhabi Capital Centre Hotel

To put it plainly, this hotel offers guests a comfortable place to sleep at a reasonable price, although the on-site bar -- Lounge One -- is surprisingly stylish with gray pinstriped banquettes, lime-green accent walls, and frosted glass room dividers in a leaf pattern. The open lobby is light and airy, with modern accents and streamlined furnishings. There are a few chairs, computers for guests' use, and a coffeeshop, but the area can get crowded at peak times, and it isn't very large. The lack of public spaces in this hotel may make it more prohibitive for families or groups looking for places in which to convene beyond their rooms, and it caters primarily to business travelers needing easy access to the embassies and convention centers.

Located practically at the entrance of the convention center and in the heart of the Embassy District, this hotel is also within a 10-minute drive of the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque and Sheikh Zayed Stadium. While there's not much of interest within walking distance, the hotel offers a free daily shuttle to the Marina and is located near one of the main roads into Abu Dhabi, making it easy to get places by cab (though traffic can be an issue). It's also only 15 minutes from the Abu Dhabi airport. 

As typical of the Premier Inn chain, purple is the predominant color in each of the 242 rooms here, and it's found in the headboards, accent walls, artwork, and bed throws. The regal color spruces up the otherwise mainly functional surroundings. Beds range in size from twin to king and there are adjoining rooms for families. Smoking and non-smoking rooms are available so be sure to state a preference when booking. Rooms are kept clean and well-maintained, and all come with flat-screen TVs, free Wi-Fi, and computer-size safes along with electric kettles (with coffee/tea fixings), mini-fridges, and air-conditioning. The bathrooms have shower/tub combos and bidets, however water pressure can vary. Toiletries and hairdryers are provided. 

The outdoor swimming pool at the Premier Inn Abu Dhabi Capital Centre is like the rest of the hotel: well-kept, clean, and functional. Lounge chairs surround the water, and a circular whirlpool sits to one side. The 24-hour fitness center is small, but has several pieces of cardio equipment, a full set of free weights, a weight bench, and a pulley machine, as well as purified water. Though there isn't a formal business center on the premises, there are a few computers in the lobby for guests' use. Meeting rooms are also available and there is fast, free Wi-Fi throughout. 

The Nuevo Restaurant is the main eatery and has indoor and outdoor seating options for breakfast, lunch, and dinner; there's also an ample breakfast buffet, but it costs extra. Room service is also available (with limited hours). The on-site bar -- Lounge One -- serves drinks and snacks and has a cool vibe thanks to white-leather bar stools, a round bar, and various velvet-covered booths. There's a branch of Costa Coffee on-site, which serves sandwiches and espresso drinks.
