Built in 2009, this Residence Inn is a modern-style hotel. The property has a well-manicured lawn with trimmed hedges and
tropical plants. An open outdoor parking lot surrounds the perimeter and is
separated from the actual walking grounds by gates. The building itself is
plain and blends in with the surrounding area. Inside, there’s a large, bright
open-air lobby and breakfast area with pops of bold color. The sofas and inset
fireplace have a modern feel and clean, fresh look. Staff members clad in beach colors and floral print shirts continue the inn’s overall sand-and- sea motif. Past the lobby, guests are
able to access the private courtyard and outdoor pool opposite the
gates facing the parking lot. For sun bathers, loungers surround the
pool, and if anyone's looking to dry off from a night-time dip, the fire pit in
the courtyard offers a cozy way to end the night.

For anyone looking for outdoor fun, this
Residence Inn is conveniently located across from the Egan's Creek trail, a popular spot for runners and bikers. The hotel is also a short walk
from beach access via Seaside Park, while Peter's Point Beachfront
Park is further out. For dining, there are several casual options down the road from the inn
by the beach, including Sliders Seaside Grill, La Mancha, and Cedar River
Seafood. The historic district is a convenient 10-minute drive northwest and is flanked by Fort
Clinch, the northernmost point of the island.

Rooms here are spacious and
consist of four categories: Studio, One BedroomSuites, One Bedroom Executive Suites,
and Two Bedroom Suites. Like condos, guest units offer kitchens with full-sized
refrigerators, dishwashers, stovetops, microwaves, and sinks with garbage
disposals. Suites have separate sleeping and living room areas. Many
families and large parties opt for the One Bedroom Suites with two queen beds
and Two Bedroom Suites, as both options have the capacity to hold five people.

Overall, decor is bold and different from generic hotels. Expect modern-looking
furniture and deep colors that add personality to the rooms. Keep in mind, however, that
guests might also be able to smell the food being cooked by their neighbors. Bathrooms
have shower/tub combos, hairdryers, and generic toiletries. Some bathrooms are also
reported to have slight mildew odors.

Each morning, the hotel offers a free hot
breakfast buffet with fruits, breads, eggs, breakfast burritos, and biscuits, among other
items. During certain nights of the week, the hotel has themed dinners, from
taco nights to burger nights. While the meals are free, guests often opt for off-site meals because the food can be either soggy or extremely
