Though the hotel has sparse amenities, there is a sunlit, stylish lobby with lovely balcony and outside seating, as well as an inviting breakfast room where a free continental breakfast is served daily. Rooms are snug, but comfortable and light-filled, and some with beautiful private balconies. A central location and friendly atmosphere makes this a solid choice for tourists, but for something of a similar nature and larger rooms, the Conscious Hotel Museum Square is worth checking out.

The wood-floored lobby of this 1895 building is flooded with light streaming through beautiful large windows and features crown-molded high ceilings and elegant leather armchairs clustered around tiny tables. Brass chandeliers and oil paintings in gilded frames in the adjoining breakfast room blend well with simple, modern furnishings, and there's even a lovely large balcony with seating and potted flowers. Owing to traditional architecture, staircases are very steep and might pose problems for some. The atmosphere is friendly, cozy, and peaceful, with cute resident cats milling about the place, and attracts leisure travelers who value this central location that's a short walk away from Dam Square and many other sights.
