Hotel Mosaic City Centre

Hotel Mosaic City Centre is housed in a modern glass-fronted building on a relatively busy street. It shares its building with another hotel, as well as a group of residential apartments. The property is aimed at travelers on a budget and has no dining or leisure facilities, giving it an informal atmosphere. There are very few communal areas, apart from a few wood-topped tables and chairs in the lobby, so it's mostly quiet during the day and evening with guests simply passing through to their rooms. The building is designed around an internal courtyard, where guests have access to a large terraced area that's lined with olive trees, providing a serene spot for relaxing. Most guests are tourists, including groups and couples, though some business and solo travelers also stay here. 

The hotel is located just outside the city center in Amsterdam's Old West, alongside the Jacob Van Lennepkade canal. It's situated on a vibrant street filled with residential apartments, boutiques, traditional cafes, bakeries, and trendy bars, though the area is generally quiet at night. There's a tram stop a few minutes down the road, taking travelers into the city center in around 20 minutes. Some attractions and tourist areas are within a 15-minute walk, like the Stedelijk Museum, Van Gogh Museum, and Leidseplein, Amsterdam's busiest shopping district. Vondelpark is a 15-minute walk from the hotel, while Anne Frank's House can be reached in 10 minutes by tram. Centraal Station is a 20-minute tram ride from the hotel, while Amsterdam Schiphol Airport is around 30 minutes away by public transit, or a 20-minute cab ride. 

This boutique property has a total of 25 rooms that are all decorated in a fresh, modern style. Most are on the small side, though some larger rooms are available for families and groups. They're all basic and clean, with hardwood floors, neutral tones, small mirrored closets, and single beds dressed in fresh white linens -- though double beds are just singles pushed together. The rooms are well soundproofed, so there's very little traffic noise coming from outside, with only a little noise from other guests speaking in the hallways outside of the rooms. All rooms have bright, double-glazed windows, with some opening out onto small balconies overlooking the canal. Standard in-room amenities are decent, and include air-conditioning, flat-screen TVs, electric kettles, and free Wi-Fi, but there are no safes or fridges. Bathrooms are modern and small, with glass-enclosed, hairdryers, magnifying mirrors, and basic free toiletries. 

The Hotel Mosaic City Centre is primarily designed for budget travelers, so it lacks typical hotel facilities. Guests shouldn't expect breakfast or on-site dining, though there are plenty of cafes in the surrounding area serving breakfast. Free juice and tea is available in the lobby throughout the day, and there are several vending machines scattered around the property providing chilled snacks and beverages. Wi-Fi is free throughout the property. The front desk is open around the clock, and staff are able to assist with tour and ticket bookings. Self-parking is available, but this costs extra.
