Hotel Indigo Anaheim

A garden with a dancing illuminated fountain fronts this hotel, whose brown-metal exterior is softened by yellow accents. The Indigo pays tribute to Anaheim's agricultural legacy (the area was a major walnut producer beginning in the early 20th century) in a decor that emphasizes greens and woods. Light-wood floors, seating areas with orange and gray armchairs, high ceilings, and floor-to-ceiling windows, which bring in tons of natural light, enhance the look of the lobby. The hotel exudes a neighborhood vibe, and an interactive touch screen keeps guests abreast of what's going on at all the local hot spots. A mezzanine-level lounge with gray couches, vibrant pillows, a flat-screen TV, and farm-themed knickknacks overlooks the lobby, and provides a nice spot for guests to gather. Colored mood lighting enhances the modern Chambers Bar & Bistro, which also has an outdoor seating area.

The Hotel Indigo is conveniently located within walking distance of restaurants, convenience stores, Anaheim GardenWalk, the Anaheim Convention Center, and the main entrance of Disneyland Resort. Downtown Disney, the Grove of Anaheim, Crystal Cathedral, and the American Sports Center are within a five-minute drive, while Angel Stadium and the Honda Center are about 10 minutes away by car. The John Wayne Airport is within a 20-minute drive of the hotel.

The 104 modern rooms are nature-inspired, with earth tones, wood floors, brown area rugs, tan armchairs, and vivid green and blue pillows. Murals of walnut trees and nature scenes adorn room walls. All rooms come with flat-screen TVs, Keurig coffeemakers, mini-fridges, and iPod docking stations. All windows can be opened. Some rooms have large living spaces in addition to sofa beds. Bathrooms are stylish, with green-patterned wallpaper, white tile, and walk-in showers (no tubs) with mosaic tile. Vessel sinks sit atop white, sparkly countertops. The hotel provides Aveda toiletries. 

A gray-tile deck, a frosted glass privacy wall, and red-striped lounge chairs surround the outdoor pool, while the hot tub has a ring of black tiles. Green-umbrella tented cabanas offer shaded seating, and give the area a fun atmosphere. Chambers Bar & Bistro, which serves breakfast and dinner, focuses on local cuisine and wines, and hosts a happy hour that many guests say is a highlight. The on-site fitness center is limited to two treadmills, an elliptical trainer, a stationary bike, a weight machine, and balance balls, but Indigo guests can use a more extensive off-site fitness facility for a small fee. The business center, with computers and printers, is open 24 hours a day. The hotel allows pets of less than 40 pounds for a nonrefundable fee and proof of vaccination. Free Wi-Fi is available throughout.
