Holiday Inn Arlington

This modern Holiday Inn has an impressive, two-story lobby that looks like it belongs in a more upscale hotel. Dark-wood columns and paneling frame large pieces of contemporary art, and there's designer-quality furniture and colorful rugs in bold shades of orange, gold, and blue. Striking modern chandeliers illuminate the spacious and inviting lobby with soft light. This hotel stays busy year-round with sports fans, business professionals, and families vacationing at the nearby amusement parks. The Draft Bar & Grill is a lively place on many nights, as guests gather to watch their favorite sports teams. The hotel exudes a classy yet friendly vibe that’s comfortable and not stuffy.

The Holiday Inn is located just north of Interstate 30, which runs east/west between Dallas and Fort Worth. An IHOP restaurant is located in front of the hotel, but no other restaurants are within walking distance. Lots of attractions and restaurants are within a short drive away, however, including the Six Flags Hurricane Harbor water park (five minutes), Arlington Convention Center (seven minutes), Six Flags amusement park (12 minutes), AT&T Stadium (six minutes), and Globe Life Park where the Texas Rangers play baseball (nine minutes). Fort Worth, Dallas, and Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport are all approximately 20 minutes by car, depending on traffic.

These contemporary rooms are tastefully decorated in light and dark earth tones that create a pleasing contrast. Gold walls match the colors on the padded headboards, accents by square-patterned carpeting in brown and black. The matching wood furniture has an espresso finish and includes desks with black leather office chairs. Units are clean and generously sized, with Standard Double Queens offering enough space for oversize armchairs. Twenty Suites are part of the inventory, and come with features such as in-room whirlpools, separate living rooms with wet bars, and sleeper sofas. Bathrooms are spacious and are similarly styled, with wide granite vanities and shower/tub combos framed by gold tile. The solid amenities package includes 42-inch flat-screen TVs, microwaves, mini-fridges, coffeemakers, and free Wi-Fi. Units are generally quiet for a hotel near a major interstate, but views are unremarkable. 

This full-service Holiday Inn enhances its convenient location by operating a free shuttle to Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport, and most attractions within a three-mile radius. A seasonal trolley operated by the City of Arlington also provides free trips to Six Flags, Globe Life Park, and AT&T Stadium on game days. 

The Draft Bar & Grill has a sports bar ambiance and is a highlight, with lots of TVs, a pool table, and a large bar with a wide selection of beers on tap. It serves American classics for breakfast (fee), lunch, and dinner, and there are happy hour specials. It also has a nice outdoor patio, and room service is available. For quick snacks and drinks, there's a lobby pantry, which also sells sundries and frozen treats. 

Wellness facilities include an indoor pool housed in a bright space with lots of windows, loungers and tables, and a whirlpool, and there's a spacious and well-equipped 24-hour fitness center, with modern Precor cardio and weight-training machines, and free weights. 

Two computers and printers are available for guests to use at the 24-hour business center, and the hotel has a ballroom that can accommodate up to 250 people. There's a guest laundry room with one washer/dryer, and valet dry cleaning is available as well. Wi-Fi throughout and on-site parking are free.
