Miami’s Hottest Hotels

See recent posts by Jane Reynolds

Miami’s temperatures may be rising, but this city’s hot reputation is thanks to its muy caliente scene more so than its sunny weather. From the beaches to the bars, from the restaurants to the clubs, Miami is home to a slew of hot spots – and many of the most desirable party destinations are in the area’s gorgeous hotels. Here are our top ten picks for the hottest hot spot hotels in the “Magic City.”

Delano Hotel

The Delano’s sexy all-white rooms may not come cheap, but the hefty price tag simply adds to the cool factor at this Philippe Starck-designed hot spot. Guests party by the pool by day and end their nights at the ever-popular Rose Bar, which has hosted celebs such as Dwayne Wade and Justin Timberlake.

The James Royal Palm

Reopened in 2012 under the James brand, this gorgeously restored property is one of the newest luxury hotels in Miami. Located in the hip Art Deco Historic District, the hotel attracts guests with its hot on-site restaurant and club, Catch Miami and SL Miami respectively, both of which have popular sister properties in New York City.

W South Beach

Right on the sand in South Beach, the W is an uber-sexy retreat with a hot poolside scene, complete with cabanas and bottle service. Two trendy restaurants and an outpost of Bliss Spa also help to make this hotel one of the hottest spots in Miami.

Fontainebleau Resort Miami Beach

Three bars, a massive nightclub, four lounges, a beachfront location, gorgeous pools…the Fontainebleau has all the amenities of a hot spot Miami hotel. Plus, rooms are comfortable and modern – making getting ready for a night on the town (and crashing afterwards) an easy feat.

Clevelander Hotel

Built in 1938, the Clevelander has been a South Beach landmark for more than 70 years, known as much for its come-one, come-all parties as for its official duties as a hotel. Many consider a stay, or at least a stop at the patio bar, to be one of the quintessential SoBe experiences.

Shore Club

The beachfront Shore Club prides itself on being a be-seen haunt, with celebrity-fueled restaurants and bars, and a boisterous infinity pool where DJs spin the latest hits. On-site restaurants Nobu and Terrazza are the highlights of the hotel, but the poolside parties and garden bars also make this hotel a favored hangout.

SLS Hotel South Beach

Since its star-studded opening party in November 2012, the SLS South Beach has been a hot hotel to see and be seen in Miami. The 140-room property features direct beach access, two large pools, two high-profile restaurants, two bars, and a great address on swank Collins Avenue.

The Standard Miami

The typical pool party scene isn’t the only thing drawing crowds at this posh spot. The spa-centric Standard not only offers numerous coed, clothing-option treatment rooms, such as a mud lounge and a cedar sauna, but it is also home to a hot restaurant and bar.

The Tides South Beach

Situated right on Ocean Drive – making for prime people-watching – The Tides is a beautifully designed hot spot hotel. Scenester-friendly amenities include a lovely pool, welcome cocktails, and a hot restaurant.

Mondrian South Beach

This off-the-beach hotel is nonetheless just as stylish and party-centric as its South Beach siblings, the Shore Club and Delano. The Mondrian’s Sunset Lounge, overlooking the bay, is a particularly popular spot for late-night partying.
