There’s a New Alpine Ski Lodge Right in the Heart of New York City

Okay, it’s not quite a true alpine ski lodge. But the Knickerbocker Hotel in Manhattan transformed its rooftop Club Room (part of the St. Cloud bar and lounge) into a very accurate replica for the winter season. Titled Après at the Knick, the wood-paneled spot is decked out in faux fur rugs, throws, and pillows, and even surrounded by faux pine trees for an additional rustic touch. Guests are treated to a special menu inspired by European dishes, feature such items as fried Camembert with lingonberry jam and currywurst. As for drinks? There’s also a festive menu—try the buttered cider cheekily called Knickerbutter. For a special treat, guests can sit at one of four Raclette tables, where they will enjoy sides paired with the famous cheese, followed by the traditional shot of schnapps. If you’re looking for all the après-ski delights—without actually having to leave the city to ski—then make a reservation today, before the popup closes at the end of March.
