With Paris Fashion Week upon us, your newsfeed might be flooded with stories about the newest designers and contemporary looks. Designers often like to spread their talents beyond the runway, many choosing to design rooms, suites, or entire hotels, like Oscar de la Renta, who designed the Dominican Republic's Tortuga Bay Hotel, and Diane von Furstenberg, who designed the Piano Suite in Claridge's Hotel London. 1. Hôtel du Petit Moulin
This boutique hotel located in the trendy Haut Marais has 16 rooms and one junior suite, each uniquely decorated by fashion designer Christian Lacroix. Some are bright and bold, others are more rustic. The hotel is set in a building that was once the home of Paris’s first bakery; the original storefront remains, reminding guests of its past as a boulangerie.

Seventeen Couture rooms and suites in this hotel, each extraordinary and whimsical, had the honor of being Maison Martin Margiela’s first venture into interior design. In contrast, the remaining 40 rooms boast a neutral palette, but don’t lack the luxury and elegance the hotel has to offer.
3. Hotel du Continent
Another vision from Christian Lacroix, every floor of this hotel represents a different continent. Thanks to exotic materials, inspiring fabrics and tapestries, and fine furniture and objects from around the globe, your stay here will allow you to venture around the world while staying in the heart of Paris.
4. Hôtel Ritz Paris
Even after its recent renovation, the iconic Coco Chanel suite retains its history from the late designer’s stay there from 1934 until her death in 1971. The suite, which she decorated herself, reflects her love for Asian lacquer, gilded mirrors, and the contrast of black and white. To step up your trip even more, try out one of the hotel’s Michelin-starred restaurants.
5. Vice Versa Hotel
In this new concept hotel designed by lingerie designer Chantal Thomass, each of the rooms is decorated to correspond with one of the seven deadly sins. Not only will you be lusting after the rooms, but with only a 5 minute walk to the metro you can easily fulfill your greedy side with all the shopping Paris has to offer.
6. Notre-Dame Saint-Michel Hotel
Rounding off the list is the most recent project from Christian Lacroix. Situated in a quaint Paris building with unique architecture, the designer combined artistic masterpieces with intense fabrics and furniture in a variety of styles to create a unique look in every room. Its location in the Latin Quarter make it ideal for sightseeing.
BONUS: Hôtel de Crillon
Originally built in 1758, this iconic hotel has been a Paris staple for more than a century and the hotel’s dazzling architecture has impressed visitors throughout its history. Though its doors are currently closed for a renovation, when it reopens this summer, it will usher in a new era with two suites designed by Karl Lagerfeld, just in time for the fall fashion shows.
