Artemis Villa and Hotel

Scene

Contemporary Balinese villa hotel with spa and large outdoor freeform pool

Opened in 2009 and named for the Greek goddess of hunting, Artemis Villa and Hotel is situated in a quiet setting on tropical grounds with palm trees, shrubs, flowers, lawns, and stone pathways. The lobby and open-air restaurant have a contemporary Balinese look with Greek influences, and feature colors of royal blue in the fabrics, a sharp, contemporary look that carries over to the hotel rooms as well. Whitewashed hardwood, light stonework, and other bright details help keep everything appropriately breezy. The hotel draws couples to its serene setting with outdoor pool and spa. With its lack of kid-friendly activities, the Artemis isn't ideal for families with children, but families do benefit from the large villas and apartments. Still, given the quiet nature of the property, couples and small groups of friends make up the bulk of guests here.
