Hu’u Villas Bali

This cozy collection of private villas has a mostly tranquil atmosphere throughout the day, tucked away behind gray stone walls draped in green vines. The lobby is small and bright, blending rustic and modern decor, and grounds are beautifully landscaped, with towering palm trees, stone statues, and colorful reclaimed tuk-tuks dotted around. If guests aren't chilling in their private villas, they're relaxing at the poolside bar or dining at the bistro, which has a distinctive rainbow-tiled roof and sophisticated vibe. The soft gray outdoor sofas are prime spots for sundowners, and the Hu'u Club has a lively atmosphere in the evenings. The property's romantic atmosphere attracts a lot of couples, though families and groups also stay here. The only downside is the nightclub located next door, which can get noisy at night. 

Hu'u Villas is situated in the heart of Seminyak, just off the main road of Jalan Petitenget. Petitenget is a famous food destination in Bali, and some iconic restaurants are within easy walking distance from the property, such as La Lucciola, which is a 10-minute walk away. Sea Vu Play nightclub is right next door, and Potato Head Beach Club and Ku De Ta are both about a 10-minute walk away. The golden sands of Petitenget Beach are a five-minute stroll, or there's a free shuttle service to and from the hotel daily (guests should be aware that there are no sun loungers on the beach). Guests can also take in some culture at the famous Hindu temple, Pura Petitenget, which is a three-minute walk away, or go shopping at Seminyak Square, which is a 10-minute walk from the villas. Kuta Beach is a 30-minute drive, and Ngurah Rai International Airport is a 40-minute drive. 

There are three types of villas at this property: One-Bedroom Lofts, Two-Bedroom Villas, and Three-Bedroom Penthouses. All 10 two-story buildings have a bright, semi-open design, combining contemporary design with rustic accents. There are neutral color schemes throughout, with wooden floors, all-white walls, and soft gray furnishings accented by funky artwork. Living and dining areas are spacious, and each villa has a full modern kitchen. Standard features include air-conditioning, minibars (with bubbly), digital music players, flat-screen TVs, free Wi-Fi, and free robes. Kitchens have stovetops, microwaves, fridges, and electric kettles. Each villa has a small private outdoor pool, surrounded by decked seating and cozy daybeds for sunbathing. En-suite bathrooms are sharp, and all include walk-in rainfall showers, double vanities, separate toilets, deep-soaking tubs, hairdryers, and free toiletries. Villas are mostly quiet due to soundproofing, but some guests complain about noise from the nightclub next door late at night. Additionally, some need a touch of maintenance to address typical wear and tear.

Although all villas have a private pool, there is a small communal pool in the main outdoor area -- though there are no sun loungers for tanning. The pool is situated next to the bistro, which serves a variety of international cuisines, plus a daily a la carte breakfast for a fee. There's also a poolside bar that's great for socializing, serving beers, wines, and fresh cocktails, and the chic Hu'u Club has indoor seating and a lively atmosphere in the evenings. Some packages offer VIP access to the Sea Vu Play nightclub next door. Cocktails can be expensive compared to other local venues. There is also a full-service spa for massages and beauty treatments, but no fitness center. Other services include a 24-hour front desk, laundry, car and motorbike rentals, free parking, free daily shuttle service to and from the beach, and airport transfers for a fee. Wi-Fi is free throughout the property.
