Bottom Line

The 78-unit Villas at AYANA Resort is a huge, opulent property on a private beach looking out over the sea. Villas are large and luxurious, with gorgeous bathrooms, garden terraces, and private plunge pools, but no kitchens. The property shares a plethora of amenities with the AYANA Resort and Spa, including a private beach, 11 pools, an 18-hole putting course, a spa, 15 restaurants serving a variety of cuisine types, and the famous cliffside Rock Bar, with beautiful ocean views. This resort is definitely a showstopper, with rates that reflect this. Travelers seeking a more intimate, cheaper option (albeit without the private beach) may want to consider the Kayumanis Jimbaran Private Estate and Spa instead.

The Villas at AYANA Resort

Scene

Luxury all-villa beach property popular with couples and families alike

The Villas at AYANA Resort is part of a massive, luxurious resort complex shared with AYANA Resort and Spa that features a wide range of amenities. The resort is remote and secluded, packed with stunning vistas and lush garden grounds, any there are so many activities on-site that guests may not feel the need to go elsewhere. There's a high staff-to-guest ratio, and guests are given 24-hour butler phones and personal service. Guests are greeted with welcome drinks, flower-filled baths in their villas, and free half-hour spa treatments (if room booked through hotel website). The clientele includes plenty of couples -- including honeymooners – and families with kids, but there is enough space to find a kid-free zone. The property is particularly popular with Japanese tourists. Note that proper attire is required in many of the bars and restaurants, which adds to the high-end feel of the resort.
