Villa Bugis

Villa Bugis is a collection of over 30 privately owned villas available for rent, all of which are tastefully furnished and come complete with kitchenettes, large living rooms, and private pools. The villas range in size and are individually designed, and there are four complexes in different locations around Seminyak. Lush gardens filled with tropical plants, trees, and flowers surround the properties, which also have pools with sundecks, cabanas, and lots of comfortable seating. The villas mainly attract families and groups seeking some privacy, with most guests from Australia and many of them repeat visitors. 

The villas are situated in four different locations in Seminyak, all of which are within walking distance of a main road that offers shops, restaurants, and bars. Several of the properties are located near the main road of Jl. Laksmana, which is nicknamed “Eat Street” and is full of restaurants and cafes, as well as designer boutiques. Another set of villas are off of Jl. Abimanyu, which is also full of restaurants, shops, clubs, and bars. Many are not within walking distance of the beach, however, though it’s a short drive away. Attractions in the area include Seminyak Square, a popular commercial area full of shops and restaurants, and the Petitenget temple. The Ngurah Rai International Airport is about 30 minutes away.

The spacious villas feature a modern Balinese design and an open-air plan with lots of indoor and outdoor space. The units range in size from two- to six-bedroom villas, and though decor varies, all are tastefully adorned in soft colors, wooden furnishings, and beige tile flooring, with lovely canopy beds in the bedrooms and large sofas in the spacious living rooms that are open to the outside. Pops of colors courtesy of abstract art on the walls, accent pillows, and fresh flowers enliven the neutral hues in many units. Villas also have dining areas as well as kitchenettes with fridges, two-burner stoves or ranges, microwaves, coffeemakers, blenders, toasters, and cooking and dining ware. Bathrooms are also open to the outside, which might pose privacy issues, and outfitted with large, walk-in rainfall showers (some also have soaking tubs), granite-topped vanities offering lots of storage space, and a range of toiletries. All villas also have beautiful private pools surrounded by sundecks with padded loungers, umbrellas, cabanas, and lovely, lush garden areas.

The property offers an array of services and activities, including tours, cruises, private yoga classes, in-room massages, car charter as well as car, motorbike, and bicycle rentals. Made-to-order breakfast is included in some packages and delivered in-room at a requested time. Special local meals can also be requested (for a fee) and guests can order from nearby restaurants as well, or arrange for a personal cooking assistant. Wi-Fi is free, as is parking.
