Dream Bangkok

Split between two buildings, the Dream Bangkok hotel is one of the city's original concept hotels, with a flashy, trendy vibe. The lobby in Dream One is funky, with pink neon lighting, striped chairs, and a sculpture that incorporates pools of water, mosaic tile structures, and futuristic silver ceiling elements. The lobby in Dream Two has shimmering carpets, an oversized reproduction of one of Warhol's Marilyn Monroe prints, and high-backed parlor chairs and couches for lounging. 

A white tiger and a pink leopard statue add a wild element to Flava restaurant, located in Dream One, where trendy guests and locals alike gather for Thai-fusion cuisine or drinks at the colorfully striped bar. The restaurant and the Flava lounge host tango lessons on select nights, as well as DJs and live music. There's also a popular bar adjacent to the rooftop pool at Dream Two that's a trendy Bangkok nightlife hotspot. With its focus on design and nightlife, the Dream Bangkok primarily attracts couples, friends, and solo travelers looking to live it up.

Dream Bangkok is located in Sukhumvit, a Bangkok neighborhood that's home to fancy apartments and restaurants. It's two streets down from Soi 11, a street popular for its nightlife, and there are a number of luxury hotels in the immediate area; Sukhumvit Road is just down the road. Both the sky train and subway are within walking distance, although the hotel also offers a free tuk tuk shuttle service from the Terminal 21 Shopping Mall, with over 600 shops and restaurants, as well as a movie theater and connections to the sky train and subway. The airport is less that a 45-minute drive away.

Rooms at the Dream Bangkok are modern and stylized, with blue carpeting and sleek furnishings, including desks in front of large mirrors and platform beds with tufted blue headboards. The signature blue therapy LED lighting under beds gives the impression that they're floating. The overall look feels a bit stale, but all the attributes are modern and well-maintained. Bathrooms are white with blue-tiled walk-in rainfall showers, bathrobes and slippers, and signature toiletries. All rooms have stocked minibars, coffee and tea facilities, flat-screen TVs, free Wi-Fi, emergency flashlights, and bottled water. Suites have dining tables under chandeliers, separate living room areas, and separate showers and soaking tubs.

The hotel has a rooftop pool and hot tub, surrounded by lounge chairs and umbrellas. The pool area has a bar that serves drinks and snacks, and is a popular nightlife destination. The on-site Flava restaurant serves Thai-fusion cuisine in a trendy atmosphere, and an extensive breakfast buffet that's included in most rates; the adjacent lounge is a lively nightlife spot with live music and DJs. The small but well-equipped fitness center is lined with windows. There’s also a high-end spa that offers a full range of treatments. Free tuk tuk shuttle service is available to the Terminal 21 shopping mall. The hotel has free parking, and pets can stay for a fee. There's a business center that's free to use, and there are private meeting and event spaces available to rent.
