Oyster Hotel Review

JW Marriott Hotel Bangkok

Scene

A luxury hotel that feels like home

A three-story grand lobby, with dark granite, floor-to-ceiling windows, and a bar, welcomes guests. The scent of Thai herbs permeate the hotel, and there are free newspapers and Moroccan mint tea. Red and tan leather furniture provides comfortable seating, while green area rugs add color. The many on-site restaurants/bars are top-notch -- each has a design all its own with Thai highlights. The New York Steakhouse and Manhattan Bar have wood beams, soft gray-black chairs, and black and white New York photos along the walls. The Marriott Cafe looks more like an American-style buffet that could be found everywhere, but bamboo, lanterns, and swirling details decorate Tsu, Nami, and Man Ho restaurants, giving them an Asian flair. Lounges have large couches and striped chairs, which give them a cozy feel.
