The three pearl Le Fenix Sukhumvit is located right in the heart of Bangkok's trendiest nightlife area and is an excellent location for those who like to party. While the infamous red light district isn't far away, this street is far more upscale, and there is easy access to restaurants and bars, as well as the nearby skytrain. Rooms are small and lack views, but Superior Rooms have iPod docks, DVD players, and flat-screen TVs. The resort doesn't have a swimming pool or a spa, but its happening rooftop bar and restaurant is great for stylish nights out under the sky.

Le Fenix Sukhumvit attracts a younger crowd of guests, at least in part because of its location in a major nightlife area. Only the breakfast room and the white contemporary lobby with plenty of couch space see much action during the day, but things get busier at night, particularly at Nest, the hotel's stylish rooftop bar and restaurant that looks out over the neighborhood. It's a happening spot with lots of beautiful people showing off the latest fashions, perhaps making the slightly worn hotel look a bit more trendy than it actually is.

Soi 11 is far more sophisticated than the seedier red-light areas nearby, with many upscale bars and clubs to choose from along with plenty of international restaurants. The hotel itself sits at a bend in the road, with ample taxis passing by regularly, and the hotel has its own tuk tuk to shuttle guests to the BTS Skytrain station, a 10-minute walk away.

Despite the hotel's claims to trendiness, the rooms are simple and some have tired decor. There are only two room categories: Standard and Superior. Both are the same size and have most of the same features, but the Superior rooms come with iPod docks, DVD players, robes and slippers, and a few more toiletries. All rooms have hairdryers, mini-bars, Wi-Fi, and large flat-screen TVs with satellite channels. Bathrooms have gray mini-tiling and walk-in showers. One drawback is that in an effort to create a novel design, the hotel has put L shapes everywhere (hallway carpeting, elevators, etc), and sections of guest room window areas have been covered up to create an L shape. Thus the windows are small and don't have much of a view.
