Although the Woraburi is just up the road from the red-light district of Nana Plaza, the hotel is surprisingly calm and quiet. The overall vibe is budget-friendly and casual, and the hotel doesn't get many families. Most guests go out to eat lunch and dinner, so the restaurant/bar downstairs is used mainly for breakfast buffets. The only other public area in the hotel, except for the lobby, is the swimming pool up on the roof, which also has a small bar area. The pool sees plenty of guests nursing hangovers during the day, but other than this, it's a pretty sleepy spot.

Although the hotel is at a quieter part of the road away from Nana Plaza, the area can feel seedy at night. A free tuk tuk shuttle ferries guests from the hotel to Sukhumvit, which otherwise is a long and unpleasant walk. Sukhumvit is full of restaurants, bars, and shops and there's a BTS Skytrain stop that makes it easy to reach the rest of the city. The airport is a 25-minute drive without traffic (but can take upwards of twice as long to reach during busy times).
