The Premier Inn sits overlooking a quaint tree-lined square with traditional Georgian architecture and honey-colored Bath stone buildings. Though it's superbly located on a city center street, the atmosphere is generally relaxed. Contrasting the Old-English-style pub it faces, the hotel's exterior is modern and sports the purple logo with a crescent moon, a theme that continues throughout its interior. The small lobby has a sitting area with white-leather chairs that pop against a large photograph mural of the city. A small bar leads to the Thyme restaurant, which tends to only be busy during breakfast. The chain's signature purple can be found throughout the contemporary, generic property. Despite its lack of character, guests here are a lively mix of leisure travelers ready to explore the city.

On a tree-lined central street overlooking a mix of office blocks and traditional buildings with Georgian architecture, the Premier Inn Bath City Centre is incredibly well-located for accessing all the city has to offer. The principal bus station and Bath Spa train station are both an eight-minute walk away, and local buses are also easily accessible. A five-minute walk will bring guests to the Roman Baths and an extra minute away is the impressive former Benedictine monastery, Bath Abbey. The Victoria Art Gallery is only eight minutes away on foot, as are the trendy shops of Milsom Street. Travelers who happen to be here for the Christmas season, may enjoy Bath's Christmas Market -- a lively affair and less than five minutes away on foot. The hotel is right by a movie theater, but for some live entertainment, the Theatre Royal Bath is a quick four-minute walk. Bristol Airport is about 45 minutes away by car. Parking is available off-site for a fee.

Rooms are generic but contemporary, comfortable, and follow the chain's standard purple theme. The no-frills design includes gray-and-purple carpet, dark-wood furniture, cream walls with colorful modern artwork, and white bed linens topped with purple bed runners and throw pillows. Most offer a king-size bed with the chain's Hypnos mattresses), although a few rooms are single beds only. There are desks and chairs in every room, as well as decently sized wardrobes. Although air-conditioned throughout, bedroom windows cannot be opened.

A small bar area is available for grabbing a quick drink. Although Wi-Fi is free throughout the hotel, connectivity can be a little slow and there is an option to upgrade to faster speed at a fee.
