Kempinski Hotel The Dome Belek

The exterior of this Kempinkski resort is simple and stark, featuring arched outdoor hallways and parked golf carts ready to transport guests. Carved wooden front doors -- palatial in size -- are flung open at the entrance to the lobby. A stunning glass domed ceiling dominates the reception area that’s opulently designed with gold glass elevators, chandeliers, and marble floors. Interiors were inspired by pre-Ottoman Turkey’s Seljuk culture. Piano music and live bands from the bars can be heard in the evenings. Designer clothing and jewelry boutiques are also in the lobby.

The five-pearl resort’s direct beach access appeals to tourists -- mainly from the United Kingdom, Russia, and Germany -- who want a peaceful seaside retreat. Thatched cabanas and lounge chairs dot the sand, creating a luxurious setting. Wooden planks lead to a lovely pier that sits on stilts above the sea, with more lounge chairs, ladders that drop into the blue Mediterranean, a bar, and cabanas with wispy curtains. 

Sitting on the shores of the Mediterranean Sea, the Kempinski Hotel The Dome gives access to a gorgeous beach with water-sports rentals and direct entry to the PGA Sultan Course and Pasha Course at the Antalya Golf Club. Other popular greens are easily reachable by car, including the Carya Golf Course (five minutes), the Montgomerie Golf Complex (15 minutes), and Gloria Golf Resort (20 minutes). The area around the hotel is surrounded by other five-pearl hotels and tree-lined roads with a taxi station directly outside the hotel. The touristy Belek area is a 15-minute drive from the hotel. It’s a one-hour drive to the Termessos Ruins, which can also be reached via the Antalya Tram that’s in the heart of Antalya, with Hadrian's Gate, the Antalya Bazaar, and ample dining and nightlife options. Driving to the Antalya Airport takes 30 minutes. Staff can arrange airport transportation via a shuttle, private car, or helicopter. And parking at the hotel is free. 

The hotel offers Deluxe and Superior Rooms, 18 suites, and 18 villas. Modern furnishings, variegated wood floors, and traditional Seljuk designs are combined to create a simple and stylish atmosphere in each. With intricate iron railings in star patterns, balconies face the gardens, golf course, or sea. Two-bedroom Royal Golf Villas overlook the man-made lake on the Sultan Golf Course and have shared pools, kitchenettes, and fireplaces in the living rooms. Three-Bedroom Sultan and Pasha Villas have full kitchens and private pools. Suites -- with one or two bedrooms -- feature living rooms and free minibars in Two-Bedroom Sea View Suites. Most rooms have flat-screen TVs, safes, minibars, electric kettles, bathrobes and slippers, and some have connecting doors. Marble bathrooms -- with hairdryers, shower/tub combos and/or showers -- are clean and modern. Upgraded rooms have whirlpool tubs.

Unlike a lot of hotels in the area, which require an all-inclusive package, the Kempinski Hotel offers half-board and full-board dining options so guests can choose when they want to eat at the hotel. The resort has five elegant restaurants serving Italian, Asian, and Turkish cuisine. Four bars are also on-site with several showcasing live music and scenic views. A candlelight dinner can be set up on the beach. Note that some restaurants are closed during low season. 

The most popular amenity at this resort is the private beach, which has postcard-worthy blue water and soft sand. Another attractive feature is the chic outdoor pool, with its checkered tiles, swim-up bar, adjacent kiddie pool, and lounge chairs on the deck. Two indoor pools and a Thalasso pool are in the large Dome Sanitas Spa that also has a Turkish bath, saunas, and a modern gym with personal trainers. Outside are three tennis courts and water-sports activities. 

The staffed Aladdin's Castle kids' club provides activities for children ages 4 through 12, a themed kiddie pool, and a playground. Kids can also receive welcome gifts, bedtime milk, tear-free toiletries, and kid-sized bathrobes for free. Babysitting services are provided for an additional fee. 

Five meeting spaces, including a ballroom and gardens, can accommodate weddings or events. Wi-Fi is free throughout the property. 

The Kempinski Hotel The Dome is a golfing destination with two 18-hole courses in walking distance and packages that offer deals on green fees. The platinum golf package includes four free green fees per person and a welcome drink on the courses. There's a dedicated golf concierge and a golf pro.
