Papillon Ayscha Hotel Resort & Spa

Inspired by the Papillon Ayscha’s logo, stylish butterfly designs add a whimsical air throughout this luxury hotel that’s geared toward families. A brick lined driveway flanked by tropical foliage leads to a circular roundabout at the front of the hotel, where there’s a lovely fountain. A glowing sun design with fluttering butterflies is set behind the front desk in the large lobby that has a luxe chandelier hanging from tall ceilings. There are numerous lounge areas, some with flat-screen TVs and fireplaces.  

This property has a social atmosphere thanks to professional evening shows performed in English, German, and Russian in the amphitheater. The animation team makes an effort to encourage participation, which some guests don’t appreciate. Overall this hotel has a busy atmosphere. Guests typically reserve pool lounge chairs early in the morning. Plastic lounge chairs under canopies are easier to come by at the beach, which has pebbly, corse sand on the shoreline. Sea access via steps and more lounge chairs are also available on the private pier.

The hotel is located in the luxury tourist destination of Belek with a private beach and pier on the edge of the Gloria Golf Resort. Within an eight-minute walk is the Belek Beach Park Sports Center that’s surrounded by markets and restaurants. It’s a five-minute drive to the Belek Tourism Center and Magic Life Waterworld. Driving to Antalya -- with Hadrian’s Gate, the Antalya Museum, and the Antalya Bazaar -- takes an hour. The picturesque Duden Waterfalls can also be reached within one hour by car. The Ancient City of Perge is a 30-minute drive. Getting to the Antalya Airport by car takes 30 minutes and the ancient ruins of Termessos is an hour and 30 minutes by car. 

There’s a modern, stylish, and simple vibe in the guest rooms that feature blond wood floors, bursts of butterfly decor, contemporary furniture, and balconies or terraces that overlook the gardens, mountains, pools, and/or sea. Gray mosaic tiled bathrooms offer quality toiletries, hairdryers, and showers or whirlpool tubs. Junior suites have stylish sitting areas. Two-bedroom King Suites offer separate bedrooms, wet bars in chic parlors, walk-in closets with dressing rooms, and soaking tubs. Select Villas have more privacy away from the main building and two sofa-beds in living rooms plus wet bars. Deluxe Villas feature two levels, kitchens, whirlpool tubs, and private gardens. The Presidential Villa has a sauna, full kitchen, private pool, cardio equipment, a pool table, and a whirlpool tub. Every room comes with a flat-screen TV, air-conditioning, free Wi-Fi, electric hot water kettle, bathrobes and slippers, minibar, and safe. Rollaway beds and cribs can be requested. 

Finding an open lounge chair on the beach is easier than finding one at the outdoor pool complex, which is made up of a series of lagoons, bordered by trees and grass. Despite the crowds, the pools -- especially the kiddy pool and water park with its large and small slides -- are well-maintained and clean. Two heated pools are in the Reborn Spa, which also has a hot tub, saunas, steam rooms, and a Turkish bath. The fitness center is spacious and equipped with modern cardio and weight equipment. Activities for kids ages 4 through 18 are offered at the Papy Kids’ Club, which has a playground shaded under trees. An entertainment staff interacts with guests during the day and provides evening shows in a variety of languages. 

Conferences can be accommodated in the Gordion exhibition hall, which can hold up to 750 people in the theater layout, with additional space in a foyer, terrace, and the Ayscha Saloon. Wi-Fi is free throughout the hotel. 

A wide variation of cuisine -- Mediterranean, Asian, Mexican, and Turkish -- is served at  six restaurants with all-inclusive rates. Seven bars, including a disco, are also on-site, with pool and beach service. Note that some of the restaurants are closed during low season. Free room service is a nice perk, though it's not available 24 hours.
