Most Romantic Hotels in Benidorm

Known among locals and travelers alike for its gourmet Mediterranean restaurant and its stunning panoramic views, this 25-room, luxury boutique hotel also features a small spa complete with a fitness center and a rooftop deck with a tiny plunge pool. All rooms offer striking sea views, high-end amenities, distinct decor, and glass-enclosed bathrooms with hydromassage showers and separate jetted tubs. The hotel's location between two sandy beaches and within walking distance of the action in the Old Town is also a plus. 

With gorgeous grounds, several huge pools, two Jack Nicklaus-designed golf courses, a high-end spa, and four restaurants, the 356-room Melia Villaitana is one of the most striking resorts in Benidorm. Rooms are elegant and classic, with traditional Mediterranean decor and upscale amenities, and The Level section offers additional perks, such as even more luxurious rooms and access to two private pools and a restaurant. Those traveling in the off season may want to note that many of the facilities close for the colder months. Also, the property is a 10-minute drive from Benidorm and there is little of interest within walking distance.

Located right across the street from a long, sandy beach on the edge of Old Town, the upscale Villa del Mar draws vacationing couples as well as families with older children. Its 108 rooms have cute beachy decor in white and blue hues and come with solid amenities such as flat-screen TVs and mini-fridges. Some units face the back of the hotel, but many have panoramic waterfront vistas, whirlpools by the windows, and hydromassage showers. There is a spa, a small pool, a basic gym, and a Mediterranean restaurant, but the highlight is the rooftop deck, offering lounge chairs, a bar, and wonderful sea views. 

The 98-room Gran Hotel Delfin is an upscale hotel on the quieter side of Benidorm, removed from the thick crowds of the eastern beach. It's got a great outdoor terrace right across the street from the promenade and easy access to Poniente Beach. Lovely garden grounds are sheltered from the road, and complete with a sunbathing lawn, outdoor pool, and tennis court. Though slim on amenities, most of its contemporary rooms have balconies facing the sea, and breakfast is included at the buffet restaurant. 

The stylish, adult-only Riviera Beachotel consistently ranks among the most popular hotels in Benidorm. While the 99 bright, contemporary rooms are a hit, the property is best known among locals and tourists alike for its popular jazz bar -- Riviera Music Lounge -- which hosts great shows every night. With a small pool, a gym and a central location near the beach and the nightlife area, this boutique hotel checks all the boxes for a relaxing vacation. 

Housed in a nine-story building, the 95-room RH Royal is a small hotel by Benidorm standards. As a relatively intimate adult-only hotel, the vibe here is laid-back and relaxing, with a quiet pool deck, limited entertainment, and live piano performances instead of loud shows and cover bands many nights. Located just north of sandy Levante Beach, the hotel offers easy walking access to both the Old and the New Town areas. Its 95 rooms are contemporary and bright, with cheerful decor, up-to-date amenities and furnished balconies -- but light sleepers may want to request a unit overlooking the pool, as street-facing rooms may get some noise.

Renovated in 2015, the Marconfort Essence is an upper-middle-range, all-inclusive hotel that's a 13-minute walk to Levante Beach. Open to adults 16 and older, the sleek and contemporary property has 126 rooms on 12 floors. Many rooms have views of its two pools, the city, and the mountains. Most of the rooms include modern kitchens, but guests complain about the lack of utensils and dishes. The restaurant, with a show kitchen, offers all-day dining and some alcohol, included in the room price. There are free dance, yoga, and Pilates classes, along with free bikes to borrow. Wi-Fi is also free. On the downside, Wi-Fi can be spotty and noise can be an issue. 

The adult-only Levante Club & Spa is an upper-middle-range hotel that's in New Town, a 10-minute walk from a long sandy beach. The 186 rooms are some of the largest in the area and feature decent amenities such as free Wi-Fi, flat-screen TVs, air-conditioning, and minibars. But bathrooms show signs of wear and need a good scrub. The spa, complete with a hydrotherapy section and treatment cabins, is the highlight here, but the hotel also offers a well-equipped fitness center, three bars, and a buffet restaurant with average food and optional all-inclusive plans. Those looking to spend the day by the pool should note that there aren’t enough loungers for everyone.
